How do we transfer our cash funds to our bank account?

For any cash gifts on your registry, you have the option to transfer those funds to your bank account, or convert the value to Zola credits.

If you want to transfer the cash to your bank account just follow these steps:

  1. First, you need to add your bank account details on this page. You will have to be logged into the primary account. You can add bank account information on the desktop site or the Zola app. Please note: You must have a United States checking account with a United States address to transfer cash fund gifts to your bank account. We currently do not support transfers to international bank accounts or to bank accounts in unincorporated territories including Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa.
  2. After you've added your bank account details, you’ll be able to transfer any contributions towards your cash funds on your gift tracker. Just hit “Transfer Now” next to the corresponding gift, which will send your funds to the bank account you added.
  3. You'll receive a "Funds Transferred" confirmation email when we release the funds in your Zola account to your bank. At this point, the bank is processing your funds. They should be posted to your account shortly after, depending if this is your first transfer.
  4. If the bank account information you entered on Zola is incorrect, the funds will be returned to your Zola account, and a "Transfer Failed" email will be sent to you. To fix this, all you need to do is remove and re-enter your bank account information on your Bank Account page. Then click Retry Transfer next to the funds in your Gift Tracker.
  5. Sometimes, when you have transferred a significant amount of money to your bank account (+$1,000), our payment processor will require additional identity verification in order to continue processing your cash transfers. You'll be asked to upload a photo of your ID to the Bank Account page, and will be able to continue transferring your gifts!

Note: Your first cash transfer can take up to 10 business days to process. All subsequent transfers should happen much faster (within 2-4 days).
