Our space includes all furniture and is well styled in neutral tones, allowing you to add your own decor and style , but not requiring too much work at the same time! It is easily transformed to match your vision and we have a wide selection of in house decor rentals as well. PHOENIX is edgy, hip, artsy and modern. No dusty country club vibes, but a lively and vibrant space to dance the night away. Formal sit down weddings have ideally 50 guests or less, but we can host up to 125 guests if you are ok with a more casual 'sit where ever you'd like vibe' Our indoor / outdoor lounge and patio area allows for onsite cooking like a taco vendor, paella, BBQ or food truck. We are able to host a wide variety of events from rehearsal dinners to seated dinners to happy hours to full day workshops. The 4,000 sq ft of flexible space is filled with local art, a fully stocked bar and two landscaped patios. We have an experienced staff standing by to help create a memorable experience at The Alice!

In 1994, Just Dance Ballroom began its operation near Downtown Oakland with the vision to spread the love of dance to many and all. Over the decade, the Just Dance Ballroom family grew bigger, and thus, the dream to relocate to a grand space came to fruition on September 16, 2006. Since then, Just Dance Ballroom has shared its halls with dancers, entertainers, family, and friends from all around the world. With 26 years (and counting) of experience under its belt, Just Dance Ballroom is proud to be considered by many to be the destination for dance and entertainment in the Bay Area.

Our 3000 square foot space is located in the historic Cotton Mill district of Oakland. Just off the 880 freeway, Flowhouse is located just east of Brooklyn Basin and directly opposite the Embarcadero Cove pier. We have two beautiful dance studios that can be used for dancing as well as dinner set up. One studio can also be used as dressing room area. We also have a beautiful living room and lobby area that can be used for a buffet set up, receiving area, and cocktail area.

The Oakland Scottish Rite Center was completed in 1927, with over a thousand craftsmen working on the project. The construction cost was approximately $1.5 million. This was a sizeable sum at the time equivalent to about $22 million today. From ground breaking to completion the edifice was erected in just two years. This is the second temple in Oakland built from the ground up by the Scottish Rite Masonic fraternity since 1883, when it was first chartered in Oakland.
