*Please note, we booked Cedar Run for the ceremony only* One of the biggest takeaways we received from our wedding was how much everybody liked the ceremony. The beautiful view of the amphitheatre on the lake was absolutely gorgeous, and the weather held up beautifully! We paid extra for the animal ambassadors to make an appearance and it was worth every penny because they were a huge hit with wedding guests. We booked our reception hall first, so we needed a place that would allow us to do only our ceremony, and Cedar Run was the only place nearby that was affordable and actually gave us additional amenities for the cost. Not to mention your donation goes towards the upkeep of the facility and helping out the animals! We were also very big on having a backup plan just in case of inclement weather and they have at least two facilities that could work during rain. The lake, bridge, and woods all make for beautiful shots as you can see. The staff was great to work with and the animals are the cherry on top. Photo Credit: Cyan Blue Photography

Elmwood Park Zoo was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration. From our first interaction, the staff was quick, easy, collaborative, and incredibly understanding as we planned our big day. Their gorgeous renovated spaces were the ideal backdrop for our ceremony and reception, especially for us as animal lovers. Becky, our coordinator, was amazing to work with - she answered all of our questions and made sure the day ran smoothly from start to finish. We had a dream come true type of day being able to celebrate with the people (and animals!) we love most, including an unforgettable giraffe feeding experience. We loved the payment plan and the flexibility offered! The entire Elmwood Park Zoo team contributed to making our special day truly magical.
