For those reasons, I couldn't have imagined a better photographer for our wedding - or person to be by my side throughout that entire day and evening. She works with a variety of mediums (lens, cameras, flash/no flash) to obtain a variety of styles for the photos, which all turned out unique and fully capturing different "perspectives" of the event - and most importantly, capturing the true essence of the joy and outward and inner beauty of the wedding. The photos turned out beautiful, have this journalistic yet ethereal feel- an artistic quality which I believe is a rare skill. I'm so thankful for having worked with Sandy!!

  • Starts at $2,000

Hi! I'm Blythe. I've worked primarily as a music video director and photographer for over 10 years. Along the way, I've taken photos of couples and loved ones during some of their most special moments - proposals, weddings, engagements, elopements, births. I truly find it to be such an honor and joy getting to capture timeless images with wonderful people.

Blythe is a genius and a dream to work with! She is so helpful and intuitive; she gave us exactly what we wanted (and helped show us what that is without us really even knowing!). Our pictures are full of personality, showcasing the love and joy between us and our guests better than we could have imagined. Blythe's presence was warm, and she navigated the space gracefully and efficiently, making sure to chat with our (lovable and often nosy) family and friends when they wanted to know more about our amazingly cool photographer. I cannot say enough good things about Blythe's work and presence, and will be recommending her to everyone I know for years to come. Thank you Blythe!!!!

Weddings by Sehee

5.0

Brooklyn, NY
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $3,500

Creating visual art is my undying passion, and delivering the most beautiful and important moments of people’s lives in the form of photography warms my heart, as I can offer them a memory they can never lose.

Having Sehee as the photographer at our wedding was the best decision we could have made! We had a small wedding in Central Park, she knew all the cute spots and how we should pose for the pictures! Since taking photos with a photographer is not a usual thing for us, my husband and I were a little awkward in the beginning,  but she really made us feel comfortable and also kindly taught us what poses would look good in pictures. We were excited to see the photos, which were beyond what we expected! She captured all the beautiful moments and gave us amazing options to choose from! Sehee was very friendly and easy going. She was someone I'd like to hang out with in general. From the scheduling, shooting, and till delivering the gallery, she was professional, calm, and very responsive. I think her easygoing personality helped us not to be stressed out on our big day Everyone knows how stressful a wedding can be, and she was incredibly kind and patient with us. We can’t thank her enough for the incredible photos and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Blissfulstills Photography! From the moment we booked them for both photo and video for our wedding, I knew we were in good hands. Noble and Stevenson, our photographers, were absolute pros. My husband and I are terrible at posing, but they made us look like naturals in every single shot! They guided us through the entire process, making it fun and effortless, and the results were beyond stunning. But the real jaw-dropper? Carl, our videographer, crafted a wedding video that looks like an epic movie! Every moment is captured with such cinematic flair—it’s a masterpiece. Even a year later, I’m still in awe every time I watch it. The way they captured our day is something we’ll treasure forever. I recently found out that they don’t only just do weddings! Liesl NYC

4.8

Brooklyn, NY
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $2,500

Hi! I’m Liesl, founder of Liesl nyc. I started my career at an old time photo tourist trap in South Dakota and came to the big city to be a fashion photographer (with a few stops along the way.) Though I found a love for portraits and weddings and made that my focus, I’ve kept the editorial aesthetic. Though I’ve lived in Brooklyn for 15 years I’ve kept the South Dakota demeanor. A calm and comfortable presence helps a lot when you’re not used to being followed around by a photographer. Getting great pictures shouldn’t be intimidating. It’ll be way more fun than you think

As soon as we booked our venue, we booked Liesl! My partner and I did not want conventional wedding photos. In fact, before even planning our own wedding, I cringed seeing so many wedding photos that looked exactly the same: overposed, soft filter, cheesy smiles. As a queer/trans couple, it was super important that we worked with someone who knows and respects queer love and doesn’t force convention when it comes to setting up the shots. When I saw Liesl’s work, I instantly thought “she gets it,” and working with her went above and beyond! With twenty years of experience shooting weddings, Liesl has the perfect balance of expertise, dynamism, and empathy. She is confident in what she does and keeps things professional, while also being someone we were earnestly so happy to get a beer with and hang and smooch in front of. The inclusion of an engagement session was an absolute dream, and let us have a preview of what the dynamic on the day would be like, which was, in a word, effortless. Liesl has an excellent sense of how much to direct and when to let people just be – and the results speak for themselves. We always felt like ourselves. Book Liesl – you will be so happy you did, and that you have her photos to keep the day going for years to come!

Yvonne Yuen Photography

5.0

Brooklyn, NY

  • Starts at $5,200

I’m guilty of romantizing my life, from my morning coffee in the kitchen to the walk to the fancy grocery store that’s out of the way. It's how I like to look at life. I take notice and enjoy the small mundane things. It's the same philosophy I apply to photography. It lets me capture and romantize all the moments that go unnoticed but worth remembering.

Awarded Best of Zola
Yvonne captured our destination wedding in Jamaica beautifully. She has great positive energy that put us at ease, and didn't miss a beat from Friday morning to late into Saturday night. Somehow she managed to capture every angle of our event with 80 guests. While she was seemingly everywhere, she was never obtrusive or overbearing. We're so grateful that Yvonne was able to capture our special day!

Tim Ryan Smith Photography

My work is focused on carefully crafting imagery that is wonderfully spontaneous and natural. I discovered wedding photography about 15 years ago and I was instantly hooked on capturing these magical fleeting iconic moments in people's lives.

We were fortunate enough to be put in touch with Tim by another photographer prior to our wedding. Tim's work speaks for itself - his photos are stunning and he's unbelievable at what he does. It was after our first conversation on the phone, however, that we knew we wanted to work with him. He's incredibly personable and goes above and beyond in getting to know his clients. We met up several times leading up to our wedding and also had him take photos during our engagement party which we thoroughly treasure. On the day of the wedding, Tim was a calming presence for us. It felt like he was a longtime friend which helped put us at ease and he offered really useful advice which we appreciated. He successfully guided the wedding party and our large families, keeping us on track prior to the ceremony and throughout the reception. Tim quickly shared a preview of the photos with us, just days after the wedding. We received our full gallery approximately one month later and we could not be more thrilled with the final product. Our friends and family cannot stop talking about how beautiful the photos are. We would absolutely recommend Tim and hope to find an excuse to work with him again someday.

Hello, I'm Quyn! At the heart of my work is a love for documenting emotions and memories. Through an intimately collaborative process, I create one-of-a-kind images from ephemeral moments imbued with meaning, romance, and beauty.

Think about it. You are going to spend one of the most important and emotional days of your life with your family, friends, and vendors. And while you cannot pick your family, you should thoughtfully pick your vendors. They should be kind, fun, creative, and easy going. ONC is that and more. They are people you’d want to hang out with any day, like old friends, and they just happen to be really great at photography (analog too!). They put us at ease, rolled with the punches, and vibed perfectly with our guests. (Also they can really dance!) We are thrilled with our photos and are confident you will be too. Huge thanks to Quyn and Sarah for capturing not only our favorite day, but the spirit of the event in such a beautiful way.

Brooke and Sam were such a joy to work with. This was the first time we have hired a photographer for a special event and we are so glad we did. During our search, one thing that stood out to us was how couples in their photos looked so natural, happy, and were all smiles! They are super fun, easy going, and accommodating especially after having to reschedule. From the start, Brooke made us feel comfortable and was even willing to help us take our engagement photos with some alpacas! On our wedding day, Brooke and Sam kept us calm, on schedule, and really captured the fun all the guests were having, especially in the bounce house :) and on the dance floor! We really loved that they were up for anything and also seemed to enjoy themselves as well. All the photos were amazing and came right on schedule. At eloping is fun we take what is often one of the most time consuming and expensive parts of your life and we flip it on its head and make it easy and fun. Eloping is not about quickie ceremonies in bland beuroratic courthouses. Your elopement is a chance for you and your partner to let your TRUE personalities shine thru. Whether that is eating pizza in your wedding dress or rolling around the streets of NYC with a bottle of bubbly, we give you the freedom to create a day that you will remember!

Where do I even begin?! If you're dreaming of an unforgettable, joy-filled, stress-free wedding day that feels like something out of a movie — stop right here. Eloping Is Fun is everything you’re hoping for and more. Jenny, the brilliant owner, and her extraordinary team made our entire experience truly magical from start to finish. From our very first call, we knew we were in the best hands. Becca, our coordinator and all-around wedding fairy godmother, is a total rockstar. She didn’t just plan our wedding day — she created a full-on experience. From perfectly orchestrating our 7-hour tour of NYC to helping us plan the ideal pre-wedding events, she made every moment sparkle. Before the big day, Becca helped us organize a fabulous dinner and tickets to Drag! The Musical — the perfect Off-Broadway show that was so us, it felt like she plucked it straight from our brains. Her recommendations for the rest of our trip were equally spot-on — fun, unique, and full of heart. On the big day, we adventured through NYC like VIPs: Central Park, Top of the Rock, the majestic New York Public Library, the historic Stonewall Inn, and a sweet stop at Posh Pop Bakeshop for gluten-free treats that were to die for! And as huge animal lovers, our hearts were so full when we made a stop at Animal Haven, a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter — such a special and meaningful moment. Becca made sure it all happened seamlessly, joyfully, and beautifully. Our dream team included: - Jonica, our photographer, who captured every look, laugh, and loving glance with such talent and artistry that looking at the photos feels like reliving the best day of our lives. - Shane, our videographer, who created a cinematic, emotional, and totally epic video that we’ll treasure forever. - Rev. Love, our incredible officiant, who saw us for who we are and wrote a ceremony that was heartfelt, hilarious, personal, and perfect. We cried, we laughed, we swooned — it was everything. - Finally, our ceremony at the stunning Lofts at Prince was the most beautiful ending to an extraordinary day. Every moment was full of love, meaning, and FUN. I could write a novel about how amazing this experience was, but I’ll sum it up like this: Eloping Is Fun doesn’t just plan weddings — they create once-in-a-lifetime memories. If you're eloping in NYC, don’t walk — run to book them. Thank you Jenny, Becca, Jonica, Shane, and Rev. Love — you gave us the best day of our lives, and we’ll never forget it.
