Hi, I'm Candace and I have a thing for weddings! I didn't start as a wedding photographer, I actually started as a BIRTH photographer surprisingly! I was addicted to capturing real and raw moments for families to have and relive over and over. I actually was nervous for weddings, which is why I didn't start doing them. One thing led to another and as people started asking me if I WOULD shoot their wedding, I decided to give it a try. Fast-forward to dozens and dozens of weddings later and I am obsessed!! Cakes was born in 2021. It was only fitting that I come full circle and work back in the wedding industry where my heart truly lies. I am in love with the process of learning, practicing and executing new and fun techniques on my clients’ cakes. More than that, creating a cake for someone’s special day gives me the most warm feeling. It’s truly why I do what I do.

I’m originally from New Mexico and have lived in 6 states so far, but recently my husband and I have moved to Arizona. I’m based in the greater Phoenix area but am always traveling around the state and U.S. for weddings! I’ve been married to my best friend, Cody, for 9 years now. I have been playing the violin for 20 years. I have both my undergraduate and master degrees in violin performance. I earned an assistantship in graduate school and was part of the Graduate string quartet, regularly performing in museums, weddings, concerts, and more. I have played concerts in Italy, Slovenia, France, and the U.S. Now, I teach orchestra and play weddings and events full time. I love to share my music with people and to put smiles on their faces.
