As soon as my then fiance and I visited we fell in love with it. The property is large with plenty of room for people to spread out and have fun. So many of our guests came up to us to say how beautiful the venue is and we couldn't agree more. Gloria the barn has so much character that we kept our decorations simple because for us, the barn was perfect as it was.\n\nWhile we kept the decorations simple, the pay it forward attic was a huge help in the planning process. It was so nice to be able to use some of the decorations that were left over from past weddings so we weren't stuck with having to buy decorations that we'll never use again.\n\nThe staff couldn't have been more helpful right from the initial start of the planning until the end of the night on our wedding day. They're very experienced and were excellent at helping us figure out exactly what we wanted for our special day. Having them there the day of the wedding was invaluable, they were such a big help with everything from setting up to reminding us about things on our itinerary that we were starting to forget about. All in all we were lucky to find Fairytale and have our wedding there. I honestly wouldn't be able to find a single negative thing to say even if I tried. It is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS and naturally beautiful. Absolutely stunning and unique. The new owners, Matt and Abby, were incredibly responsive, helpful, and flexible when we needed help. We had catered food for the bridal suite the morning of but they forgot to include silverware! Matt ran out personally and got us some. They made the wedding venue feel really personal for the day, not just another hotel ballroom. The barns offer unique ways to make your wedding truly yours. We used the smaller barn for the cocktail hour which was fun to have people milling about, then fit 150 people for a seated dinner reception and a big band and dance floor! Tons of space, tons of dancing, and beautiful brand new bathrooms and bar off to the side. The venue itself brought so much in terms of decor—the gorgeous tree grove, charming barn, in bloom garden—we really only added small touches with florals and tablescapes / seating to bring the event together. As the bride, I also loved that we had the on-location farmhouse to get ready in, watch guests arrive, plus be able to run back to change or touch up during the event. Essie and Mike (venue owners) are incredible to work with, they truly care that you're going to have an amazing time. And Kate, the venue GM / planner, is super organized, has the best attitude, and will make the planning process SO much more fun and exciting. Overall, you just feel taken care of. The Walnut team is also very well connected and respected in the area. Vendors love working with them, which means you get access to a lot of good recommendations, and options to fit your vision. Even in the pouring rain! We are so grateful to how detail oriented and focused they were on ensuring the day went without a hitch. Some of the team up on the mountain even helped me try to blow dry and pat dry my dress during the cocktail hour! The venue is stunning, the food was delicious, and the Omni team helped us personalize our wedding down to the tiniest details: including fun signature cocktails, little gold animals for the kids, and they even set aside apps for bride/groom during the cocktail hour- otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten to try them! They also greeted each guest off the gondola with an umbrella. Our guests said they have never felt so welcome and everyone had a blast! I literally cannot sing their praises enough for how perfect they helped make our day.\nThe 1812 Farm was the perfect venue for our July 2024 Wedding and we could not be happier with the experience we had working with Sarah, Olivia, and the larger team. The 1812's team is not only super responsive, but extremely helpful as a sounding board. Any questions we had were answered promptly, any ideas we wanted to float were approached thoughtfully, and this team truly lessened any kind of wedding planning stress.\nAs for the venue itself, it was gorgeous. The flowers were in bloom in the garden where we had our ceremony and the inner venue where we had our reception was so well put together. The 1812 team set all my decorations up for me after I provided an example of what I was going for and that immediately lessened any day-of stress that morning. Both my husband's half of the party and my own had plenty of space to get ready separately in the Bristol Suite on site too, which was perfect. Having prep in the same place as ceremony and reception just streamlined our entire day. I also love that even when the lights were dimmed inside later in the night for dancing, there was still plenty of light to see and talk by and our guests adored the outdoor bar and thought it was super cute.\nThe 1812 also uses Stone Cove Catering and we loved the ease of building out the menu with the same people we already were in contact with for the venue. It made everything so smooth and we knew there would be no confusion or fuss as meals were served because the caterers are the venue and know the routine and space. Once the party actually started after dinner, I had multiple guests come up to me to rave about how good dinner and cocktail hour apps were- literally so good that multiple people made comments about it right after eating. Can't ask for better than that.
