Nestled amongst 12 acres of vineyard in the scenic countryside just south of Des Moines, Summerset Winery is a truly unique venue for your upcoming event. Our banquet hall and outdoor ceremony space can seat up to 250 guests and our tent can seat up to 400 guests! Be it large or small, our facility offers a beautiful venue for every type of event. Also located on the vineyard just steps from the winery is the Inn at Summerset Winery, which is a bed & breakfast style home available to rent for your wedding party. The former home of cook-your-own-steaks, Old Oaks Steak House, south of Milan, has been transformed into Old Oaks Winery. The rear of the property contains several acres of now-mature vineyards, which are producing the grapes for Old Oaks wine. Our vision has always been to bring a Napa feel back to the Midwest. Old Oaks Winery has a tasting room and event space for more than 200.

The Buchanan House Mansion built in 1883 is now placed on the rolling his of the Buchanan House Winery and Vineyard. In 2009, the mansion was scheduled to be demolished. The Weaver Family of Tipton, sad to see it go, purchased the mansion and later moved it 7 miles to its new location. Now the mansion is the perfect place to host a small event for up to 40 guests. The 19-acre vineyard and garden make a beautiful place to host an outdoor ceremony and reception. All of our wine is made in the basement of the mansion and tasting room. Host an event at Buchanan House and have the choice of 30+ red, white, bubbly, sparkling, and port-style wines.
