Love West River House! It's like a beautiful modern day art gallery with the space for weddings. It overlooks Lake Dunlap for water views coming soon. Plus the venue is a glass house building so it brings the outside in. White walls & colorful arts pops adorn the walls, making this space such a great backdrop for a beautiful wedding. Many options for ceremony & reception locations including a turf green lawn & deck overlooking the water. Also back up plans in place for bad weather. You can also stay overnight for up to (10) guests so it's so great for bride & groom and parents or wedding party. This is a special find in New Braunfels, TX!

At Carriage Hills Ranch, our roots run deep in family, love, and the rich history of our Texas Hill Country land. Owner Christine grew up on this cherished property, where generations of her family created lasting memories. Inspired by those moments she transformed the land into a wedding venue filled with love and history. From a beautiful gazebo, with amphitheater seating, overlooking a wet-weather lake, to a restored 100-year-old barn and a historic San Antonio streetcar-turned-bar, every detail reflects our family's story. The venue has lots of extras (at no extra charge) along with numerous planning resources that makes planning your big day a joy. Today, Michelle and the team personally care for each couple, treating them like family. They have a servant's-heart and love helping our couples that serve our community, such as military, veterans, and first responders. At Carriage Hills Ranch, your wedding isn’t just an event—it’s a heartfelt extension of our family legacy.

Venue considerations

We loved our wedding venue! Even with the pond gone during the drought, we had horses in the back of our ceremony and it was a nice touch. Everybody commented on how lovely the venue was and we felt at home the entire day and night. Michelle is so helpful and welcoming to all who come to the property, and does her best to help every couple and their families feel welcome and at home while there. The decor inventory is such a nice added bonus because they have linens for every table and decor you can use on the wedding day. We plan to come back and visit some day.

The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.
