Our DJ was Ace, Sax Player Austin and singer Natalie. I booked 11 months in advance, had a phone meet and greet 6 weeks out and had several revisions to the itinerary as we got closer to the event. Any changes , questions or ideas I had were promptly acknowledged, answered and collaborated on which continually reassured me that Second Song took a personal interest in making our night one to remember. I also found out that Second Song is frequently hired by my employer, Providence Medical Center in Torrance, for their Foundation events.”

He has a very intuitive app where you can plug in your wedding timeline, and import songs from Apple Music, Youtube, or Spotify for each segment of your wedding. You can be as involved as you want to be. He gives very educated recommendations if you're not sure what songs to choose. We chose to have the photo booth at our wedding too, and it was such a big hit. Our favorite part of the photo booth was being able to see all of the photos our guests took, digitally and all in one place. I could go on and on, but I'll stop there. “The Moon Units made my wedding. It all started when my wife (fiancee at the time) forwarded me an Instagram clip of them because she knew I was set on hiring a live band. I took my sweet time to cast a wide net and to follow, interview, and compare A LOT of bands. We went out to watch our top two choices and when we saw The Moon Units' positive energy, ability to rock the crowd, and musical skill, we immediately knew that they were meant to be our band (just like when we saw the venue we wanted, we just knew). They are highly accommodating, musically versatile, and truly professional, Hollywood type performers who will seal the deal on upgrading your wedding from already great to one of the greatest your guests have ever been to. The three things that most impressed me about them during my wedding were: 1) they gave it their all on every song whether there were two people on the dance floor or the whole group (and believe me, your guests will notice this too), 2) they were able to improvise to seamlessly integrate with all my other vendors and moving parts without any interruptions, as if my wedding was truly an entertainment production, and 3) whether they were singing rock, hiphop (yacht version), metal, r&b, pop, Kpop, oldies, or jazz, they performed as if it was their main genre. We requested them to learn two of our favorite songs that we loved but were skeptical that they could perform because of how hard they were to sing, and man did they prove us wrong! Each of the musicians are friendly, multi talented/multi instrument, down to earth people who love what they do and have a great time performing. They output pure sound candy and also look great doing it. Your stage will be glammed up and filled out, and your guests will compliment and remember your band choice even more than your food, I guarantee it. My wife and I are now semi-groupies (and I'm not ashamed as their gigs take me back to the best night of my life), and we aren't the only ones! That's something that no Youtube clip or online review can really convey. Good luck and have a great time wedding planning, but hire The Moon Units!!!”

“We absolutely loved our DJ! Misha was amazing and really delivered. He kept everyone on the dance floor, which was our one request. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the communication from the office staff before the event was terrible. Poor Misha—we had to text him with questions, but he wasn’t allowed to answer directly and everything had to go through Ruby at the office, which was frustrating. We even had a Zoom meeting to review our music plan, but a week later Ruby messaged me saying it wasn’t completed. What was the point of the Zoom call if not to review it? It felt disorganized. However, on the day of the wedding, Misha executed everything perfectly. Despite the office communication issues, I would still recommend them!”

Everything about working with them was easy and professional. We didn’t have a strong opinion about the pre-ceremony music, so Lily suggested we give them a time period/genre and they could put the rest together, which was so great to have taken care of. We had only one song request, In My Life, for when we left the ceremony, which they arranged for us. It was absolutely beautiful! Communication was very clear and they both so clearly care about not only the quality of their work, but also about making such an important day as special and seamless as they can. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! This paired with a planning call in the weeks leading to the event to confirm details on the doc and finalize last minute details assured us everything was prepared to deliver on our expectations. During our wedding he was a very engaging MC - directing guests throughout the night on the mic, informing them of special moments, and energizing them guests when needed. Overall, the MCing was the perfect balance, wasn't distracting and amplified special moments. Tyler was also very agile and able to adjust on the fly. My father in law had a last minute request for a song to play at the end of his speech and Tyler was on it. He was able to easily coordinate with my FIL, download and played it perfectly on cue. Lastly, he made the dancing portion of the nigth so much fun. He was attentive to all music requests and was able to read the dance floor the while night to make it lively and inclusive of all age groups. Overall would highly recommend DJ Tyler Osborne.”
