I started photographing weddings 9 years ago and was influenced by the two great passions in my life at the time: landscape photography and teaching. My love for both deeply influence my wedding photography because I find inspiration in both the natural setting of a wedding as well as special moments between people. When I document weddings I am in all places at once, constantly searching for great light to highlight beautiful settings as well as the heartfelt, emotional moments...your wedding day deserves to be documented in all its glory and beauty. When I have free time I love cooking, traveling, brewing beer, hiking, and running.

You know those first few months that you fall in love & everything is so wonderful & terrifying & just so damn GOOD? It's that “new love” feeling & I’ve never been able to replicate that feeling with anything else, except photography. Your wedding day tells the story of your love. I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Hi, Thanks for reading! Here's my photography short story: 2017, after 13 years of teaching, I said goodbye to the classroom and pursued Olympic weightlifting photography- my company was Everyday Lifters. Shortly after, I launched my wedding business. The Long Version: Weightlifting has taken me to places like Turkmenistan, Germany, & across the country! The weightlifters started getting married, and along the way, I received training to advocate for diverse bodies as a photographer. During this time of transition, I started taking documenting courses through the International Center of Photography and work on documenting local stories.
