First, I'm glad to hear they had a good time. Second, I'm VERY sorry they feel this way and wish they would have called me or I could have a conversation with them to get more details. This is posted with no name or wedding date so I don't know or recall this wedding. 1. He interrupted our cake cutting to tell us we were cutting the cake at the wrong spot. RESPONSE: I'm guessing they may be talking about cutting from the top instead of the bottom layer which happens on occasion. I'm typically over in the area getting a picture and would have most likely whispered over to them to cut the bottom. This would just be to help so they had the intact top layer to take home as is tradition. 2. Argued with me on the phone about my first dance song idea. RESPONSE: Again, don't recall this happening. During our conversations, I will give my input or opinions from experience but in the end, this is your day, I'm certainly not going to give you a hard time about what you ultimately decide to do. 3. Did not announce our best man and maid of honor names after giving them to him several times. RESPONSE: Don't know which wedding this was so I can't say if this were true or not. I typically do introduce whomever is going to be giving the toasts as I'm getting the guests attention. 4. His website outdated so I had to email him my song choices to make sure he has the correct ones. RESPONSE: I have an app/form available on my site for couples to choose music. They are able to search my entire music library by title, artist or genre. Once a song is found, they can put it into they're Must Play, Play if Possible or Do Not Play list. Notes can be put on any song and if a song can't be found, there is a Custom section to enter the information. There are even cool tools on the form showing most popular requests, the top suggestions for every formality such as cake cutting, parents dances, intro's, ect. The only time I request a couple to email me a list is if they are requesting an exact playlist for cocktail or dinner (not very common). 5. He only accepts check day of which is a pain. RESPONSE: Not true at all. I take cash, check, venmo, cashapp or credit card. This is also stated on the contract. 6. Tries to act like a coordinator and is not easy to worth with. RESPONSE: Yes, I do act as an additional or sometimes the only coordinator to keep the event running smoothly. Coordinating with the couple, guests and the other vendors. I am fairly new to Zola so don't have many reviews but there are hundreds on both weddingwire and the knot stating how easy it is to work with me. I seriously wish this bride or groom would have said something prior or during planning of how they felt. If this bride/groom would like to reach out, I would love to have a conversation about your experience. I take great pride in my business and do everything I can to make each event a great one. I feel really bad when I hear a couple of mine feels this way, I'm certainly no used to it.
