On the day of the event, Gerald's talented and professional performance was the perfect accompaniment to our dinner party and reception. The music appealed to guests of all ages, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere that made our special day even more memorable. Gerald has been performing at Midland Center for the Arts for the last 18 months at Uncorked Happy Hour. He is professional and easy to work with. The audience enjoys the Jazz/RB arrangements that he plays, which are both complex and refreshing.

Professional means dressing professional! For weddings, always a black tux, white tux shirt and a tux tie. When not so formal, a black suit coat, black or gray paints with a regular black neck tie. But keep in mind, it can ultimately be up to you.

I prefer and like to arrive two hours before the first guest arrive. If a piano is on site, I'd like to arrive one hour before the first guest arrive. Things like parking, loading in (on a busy loading dock), setting up and putting cases away can sometimes take up to an hour when I provide the piano. It's important for me to be setup and out the way vendors and guest that like to arrive early.

I provide background music for cocktail hours, wedding dinners, engagement dinners and more. Cocktail hours are happy, lively and fun. I do just that by playing at a nice level in the background so everyone can still conversate. Dinners are more clam and easy going until people get up and start to mingle. Then I'll pick it up a bit. I always pay attention to the guest.
