We take music seriously. We don’t just take a playlist and play your songs in order. Mike mixes your Must Play songs together with other songs based on his best judgement, mixed with clean and creative transitions that flows and keeps the dance floor full of energy. DJing is a craft, and deciding what song to play next is a complex process that involves reading the crowd's body language, intuition, and experience. Hiring Mike as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made!! From our first meeting, Mike was professional and friendly, providing us with a lot of information and answering all of our questions. After we booked with him, he set up an easy-to-use app for us to select our songs, write notes about the reception, and communicate any special instructions. It helped us keep track of what to prepare and how to plan the timeline of our day since we didn't have a wedding planner. Mike also came to an in person meeting with our venue so he could be prepared for the wedding day, and he was completely set up and ready when we arrived for cocktail hour and dinner. The wedding day could not have gone better: not only was Mike on point with all the music choices we made, he created an excellent vibe for our guests. We had a lot of families with young adults and older parents, and Mike played music that appealed to both crowds. His emcee skills are excellent, and he was flexible with a few adjustments to the timeline throughout the night. Mike’s son JC worked our photobooth, and he was just as professional and friendly. His upbeat attitude and excitement for the day was well appreciated, and all of our guests were happy with their photobooth experiences. If you want a smooth, efficient wedding day with top tier vibes, Mike is the guy to hire!!

Mike was our DJ for our wedding and all I can say is WOW. He truly was the absolute best DJ we could ask for. He made the planning super easy with the app and explained exactly how to use it. I had told Mike I’d like lots of mixes and never a full song and he did just that. I even sent some tik toks of mixes I wanted and he did those too. All of our guests had an amazing time and were raving about Mike. I can’t thank you enough for making my wedding a dream come true. We do not charge for time spent setting up and cleaning up! For travel, we do not charge if your wedding is within a 2 hour drive of Washington DC.

Yep! We offer the following: - Wedding Day-of Coordination, courtesy of Carla Cueva - Photo Booth with prints and backdrop - 360 Video Booth - Video Guest Book / Confessional - Wireless uplighting and dance lights - Projector Monogram

The earliest is 3 hours, if the venue allows it and if there will be a lot of equipment involved, like speaker systems for ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, photo booth, etc. The minimum is 2 hours. If your venue is strict with setup time, we can also work with that too as long as we know in advance!

Yes! The ceremony will get its own separate speaker system with music and wireless lapel microphones. If the cocktail hour is in another part of the venue, we will also setup an extra speaker with music.

Music: I love all kinds of music all the way from the 70s to today's hits. Depending on many factors, I like to do what's called quick mixing, where I play only the best parts of songs, and then smoothly transition to the next, keeping the energy high. I rarely play out a song in full, unless it's a slow dance, or the entire song is popular. My style is also flexible and can fit a lower energy family-friendly dance party, or we can turn up and throw down with a club style mix of harder music! MC: I make all announcements while being a friendly presence, and will keep guests engaged, but I will not go over the top with jokes and corniness.

You know it! We have liability insurance, and if your venue needs us to add them to our policy as additionally insured, we can do that at no extra charge.

By default, I use my best judgement. If the song fits the vibe, I will play it! But if I feel that it could kill the dance floor, or if it's on your do-not-play list, I will respectfully decline. For example, if we're playing oldies like Michael Jackson and Kool and the Gang, but I get a request for Megan Thee Stallion... I'm not gonna play it, maybe later if any rap is on your list. Or, if I'm playing a set of ratchet music, and then someone asks for AC/DC, that will be a very respectful "sorry, I can't" from me. You're can also tell me to take "all" requests, or to even take no requests at all and just stick to what we discuss.
