Maia Wachter-Harpist
Hi everyone! My name is Maia (she/her) Music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. I decided the summer before senior year of high school that I wanted to try out a harp lesson, and ever since that day, I haven’t looked back! In my 13 years of study, I have primarily learned from Elizabeth LeBlanc. I also attended two summers at Rocky Mountain Springs Harp Program, where I studied with Kathryn Harms. I have been very fortunate to have wonderful teachers who got me where I am today! Outside of my musical background , my degree is in Early Childhood Education. I am luck to work in both the childcare and music fields!
I work with each couple to customize their ceremony music, and I love thinking outside the box! I have played everything from Beyonce and Taylor Swift, to a theme from a 2000s Barbie movie. I will do my absolute best to make your music dreams become a reality! I also offer a unique opportunity to take a photo with the harp after the ceremony! This is totally optional, but a fun extra I like to do as a thanks for booking with me. Check out my photo gallery to see some other couples who had their photo taken!

Classic Package
Price$500
This package includes - a half hour of prelude music as guests arrive - processional music customized to fit your party and grand entrance -if you have a unity candle or sand pouring ceremony, I can add a song there - Recessional song back down the aisle - postlude music, one or two more pieces as guests leave
Deluxe Package
Price$700
All elements of the Standard Package PLUS: -A professional audio recording of one of your song choices as a special keepsake -An hour of music during your cocktail hour to provide ambient background music as your guests relax before the reception
Diamond Package
Price$1,000
All elements of the Classic and Deluxe Package plus A FaceTime concert before the big day, sit back and listen to all your music selections in advance! Choose One- Music during your processional rehearsal, including practicing music cues with the different entrances and exits OR Ambient music played during your rehearsal dinner or welcome party for up to two hours (if the distance to the venue exceeds 50 miles, lodging may be requested)

Your wedding isn’t complete without Maia
Maia is super talented, and the harp adds so much to your wedding day. I have worked with Maia a couple times as a photographer and she is always super kind to me and other vendors. I love that she lets her couples take photos with her harp and they turn out so lovely. I’ve heard her music and her talk about how she has learned her couples favorite songs for them to play on their wedding day, showing her dedication and talent. Your wedding will be so magical and unique with the touch of adding Maia playing her harp.

Maia is a fabulous player and a joy to work with. She’s professional, timely, and fun. She communicates well and she does so much to make sure the music she’s playing is just perfect for the event. I’ve worked with her on several events and each one, she was well prepared, enthusiastic, and just a joy to work with. I’ve since moved away, otherwise I would plan to continue to work with her for a long time to come. That said, if you’re looking for a harpist for ANY event you might need, Maia is a wonderful choice for any Indiana, Michigan, or Ohio weddings or events!
Amazing Harpist
Maia was fantastic! Before the wedding, she was very kind, flexible, communicated quickly, and answered all my questions. She was excited to learn a new song that I really wanted to walk down the aisle too. She also gave us some tips about song choice due to a large bridal party which worked out very well. On the day of the wedding, she showed up in advance and allowed us take pictures with the harp. The guests LOVED the harp and she played the music beautifully. Thank you so much for helping make our special day wonderful!
Wonderful Harpist
Maia did a wonderful job for us at our event. She was easy to work with and learned new songs that we requested. Due to logistics, we had her live-streamed into our event. The guests were impressed and thought it was perfect!
