After a long career DJing clubs, radio, and more I can honestly say nothing is more rewarding than weddings. Just knowing that my music bonds families and helps them enjoy themselves on their most important day is a feeling that can't be replicated at any other gig. When I began getting requested for weddings, I saw a void for club DJs in the industry, so I picked the best and started Shut Down Productions. In addition to our DJ & MC services, we have grown to be a one stop shop by also offering photo booths, lighting, special effects and more to make your celebration even better.

Our talented DJs are handpicked from the hottest clubs yet garnished with professionalism to make your wedding high energy and fun, while also keeping it clean and professional. Building a great party is a team effort between you and our DJs merging your input with song requests and music preferences with our experience and expert execution to make it happen and rock that dancefloor! My wife and I had Shut Down Productions at our wedding this past weekend. We needed a mic and speakers for the ceremony, we chose the get the Photo Booth, and obviously needed them DJ our wedding. Burton did a phenomenal job with his assistant helping out too! My wife is Arabic so we sent him a mix of Arabic music as well as all the songs our guests requested. We played Arabic music towards the beginning of the party and transitioned into the music our guests requested. Burton did a phenomenal job with it! We kinda gave him open reign and said play our guest music but include 2000’s pop/hiphop/RB (that music is our style) and he absolutely rocked it! He knows how to keep people on the dance floor which is the one thing I told him absolutely had to happen. I am so happy with Shut Down’s work and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of an event DJ!

I just had my wedding at vizcaya museum and gardens march 16, 2025. Burton and his team were amazing! They were very professional and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process and when it came down to the day of my wedding. Burton even met up with me at the venue to do a walk through of my vision. They helped create my dream wedding with the perfect up lights , dance floor party lights and music. I’m very appreciative of all their hard work throughout the night to make it memorable as magical for my husband and I. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

I cannot emphasize enough how amazing of a job Burton did as a DJ for our wedding! He executed everything perfectly, from our entrance songs all the way through to our closing songs. He was extremely easy to work with, honoring all of our requests and keeping the energy high for the entire evening. We got so so so many compliments on the music, and the dance floor was packed up until the very end.

For weddings we wear a suit. If you are having a casual dress code please let us know.

Yes and no. Our priority is the majority of the dancefloor so for that reason we use discretion with requests. If the request will work well with the vibe we currently are experiencing then yes it can be mixed in. However, if it doesn't we may just play it at a later time when its suitable or not play it at all if it doesn't go well with what the majority of the crowd is reacting to or if it goes against any parameters laid out by you the bride and groom. The exception to this rule is the bride and groom, anything requested by them will be honored immediately. We have access to just about every song and can honor the request on the fly.

Yes! Additional sound systems are installed for these areas to ensure a seamless transition of music from one space to the next. At the ceremony we will also include a microphone for your officiant so everyone can hear clearly.

Yes, we are fully insured through RVNA with a 1 million dollar policy per occurrence.

With us, you get DJs that have a foundation rocking clubs. So what does that mean? Seamless transitions, quick mixing, scratching, wordplay mixing and transitions, and mashups will be some of the methods to shutting it down! The result? A packed dancefloor, sweated out suites and dresses, 90% chance of some twerking, and a wedding party you won't forget!

Setup & break down fees are already included in our pricing structure. Travel fees may apply outside of central and south Florida.
