Jesse and Justin have been playing music together since they met performing in a band at Disneyland in 2001. After moving to Beacon, NY around the same time, it made sense to start an official wedding music business to share their love of music with some of the many happy couples getting married in the Hudson Valley. One thing they love about playing music for weddings is the variety that is required of them. Every gig is different and they all happen on one of the happiest days of the clients' lives!

Jesse and Justin pride themselves in their broad repertoire of styles from classical, to pop, to folk, to jazz. Between the two of them they play piano, guitar, banjo, sax, clarinet, flute, ukulele., and Justin is a great singer. Justin also loves stepping into the DJ/MC role for receptions, so they can provide music for the whole day. Also, their clients don't have to pay or deal with an agency. This makes them able to provide direct communication and lower pricing to all their couples.

We hired Skylark Music for our wedding and can't recommend them enough! Justin was super helpful during the planning process, answered all our questions, and took the time to develop a detailed plan with us. Justin and Jesse played beautiful acoustic music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, which added the sentimental and elevated touches we were looking for. Justin then DJed our reception. He worked with the playlists we provided and kept the dance floor full the whole night.

We loved working with Skylark Music. All communications were smooth leading up to the wedding day. They did an incredible job throughout the event and made our day so memorable for our guests. So many guests commented to us and our family that they loved our live band throughout the evening. It created a fun yet sophisticated vibe mixing contemporary, jazz, latin, and swing music.

Skylark Music brought the PARTY - truly the most fun I’ve ever had at any wedding and not just saying that because it was my own. Justin and Jesse were wonderful to work with; from our easygoing initial outreach to finalizing the timeline and setlist. On the day of, Skylark provided the most beautiful live ceremony music which added a touch of class I was looking for. Justin switched to DJ/MC for the reception and the dance floor was packed all night! We had some unique song requests which Justin indulged, and did a fantastic job reading the crowd’s vibe. Everyone was commenting on how great the music was and it truly brought our wedding day to the next level. My absolute favorite part of the entire day was our giant conga line to “Love Train” to close out the night - I’ll never forget that moment and owe it to Skylark! If you’re looking for a fun, professional, and all around talented duo, I can’t recommend Skylark enough.

We can't thank Justin and Skylark Music enough for creating the perfect soundtrack for our wedding and turning our vision into a magical day! From the start, it was an absolute joy to work with Justin. He was communicative, organized, and so easy to collaborate with during the planning process. On the wedding day, he went above and beyond, even assisting with small but important details like pushing rainwater off the tent during the ceremony (we had several rainstorms throughout our wedding). Despite the weather, our guests couldn't stop raving about the music, and it was clear they had a blast on the dance floor. The day was truly unforgettable, and we are so grateful for Justin and Skylark Music!
