We have years of experience with weddings, corporate events, and all manner of private parties— large and small, casual to formal. Whether your event needs great live music for ambiance, a string band to play a bride down the aisle, or Americana and bluegrass tunes that get the young and old up and shakin’ — we’ll work with you to make it special. For most events, we can set up our own professional-quality PA system, saving you from having to hire an AV company. If it’s a wedding, in addition to the dozens of songs in our repertoire we may also be able to learn a special-request(s) just for your event– just don’t ask for Freebird.

Yes! We have auxiliary members who play percussion and fiddle. Percussion is often requested to make for a "dancier" wedding reception sound. Fiddle is often requested because, well, some people just really like the sound of a fiddle. If that's what you're looking for, just make sure we know that upfront so we can quote appropriately.

SASB specializes in acoustic Americana including bluegrass, mountain music, delta blues, folk and some touches of modern popular music thrown in for private events like weddings. We'll provide an energetic and warm sound for your event. We design our setlists around your elements so that the feel (e.g. a laid back tempo for dinner or instrumentals in the ceremony) matches each portion perfectly.

Absolutely. For a very reasonable fee included in our quote, we'll provide a PA system that can deliver sound for up to 500 guests. Please just make sure to give an estimate of your attendance so we'll know how large to go. As far as DJ'ing, we provide light DJ services after live performances with a pre-prepared playlist. We can work with wedding clients on a playlist that suits them.
Typically we will wear khakis, button down shirts and ties for wedding events. We cannot wear sport coats while playing.
Yes! Each wedding client of 3+ hours is afforded two "special request" songs from the couple that we will agree to, then learn for them. Additional special requests that we might learn can be accommodated for an additional fee to compensate for more practice time.
Once you reach out to us, we'll get some basic details and provide an initial estimate. Once you agree to that estimate, we'll usually set up a phone call to get to know you a little better, discuss some finer details, then a final quote once we have those details. After that, we'll do a brief contract with key details included and then it's a 50% deposit to hold your date.
We do. SASB has about ten great players in our network who can be available in the case that something comes up for one of our full-time members. All are familiar with our material and very fine musicians. Though emergencies are unlikely, we do our best to be prepared for unforeseen circumstances so that the show runs smoothly for your event.
Typically, we will travel up to 200 miles outside of Atlanta with reasonable travel fees based on each 50 miles. If the event is beyond 50 miles from downtown Atlanta and would require travel after midnight, we may require lodging for the band. If your event is beyond 200 miles from Atlanta, we may consider it, but it would require overnight lodging (if at night) and additional travel fees.
