The Dapper Gents
The Dapper Gents are a folk-rock band from Portland, ME, are known for their eclectic mix of popular hits and deeper cuts, all enriched with vibrant cello solos. Available as a versatile duo, quartet, or DJ, they are the perfect choice for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and private parties. Serving New England and beyond. The current lineup features Jacob McCurdy on vocals and guitar, Danny Rand on cello, Stu Gurley on upright bass, and Jonathan Clement on drums and vocals. They bring a unique twist to pop, rock, and folk hits from artists such as Mumford and Sons, The Pixies, The Lumineers, and Alabama Shakes.
We love playing the songs that we play, the fact that we don't play the same old song that you'd hear at every other wedding, your night will be unforgettable. Also, you've probably never heard a cello played the way that Danny Rand shreds. Using guitar FX pedals, he can sound like a lead guitar, synth, bass or just a regular old cello.

Wedding Music
The Dapper Gents were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! From our first interaction, their communication was friendly, efficient, and they were always easy to reach. On the day of, their live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour set the perfect tone, and the transition to DJ for the reception was seamless. The music and atmosphere they created kept our guests dancing all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better musical experience to celebrate our special day. Highly recommend The Dapper Gents for any wedding or event!

We were so fortunate to have the Dapper Gents perform at our ceremony and cocktail hour. We had seen them numerous times around the Portland area prior to our wedding so we knew they would do a great job but they exceeded our expectations. Our guests also loved them. Strongly recommend!

Great wedding band!
It was a pleasure to work with the Dapper Gents for our wedding. We really loved their repertoire and they did a great job adding some additional instrumentals for our first dance. They kept the dance floor moving the whole night! I would definitely recommend them for a friend's wedding.
