About The Downtown Collective
The Downtown Collective
The Downtown Collective Band was established in 2016 as just a couple of guys who wanted to jam out in the attic. We got some small gigs here and there doing hybrid DJ/live music performances. Then we found friends from music school/work that played instruments and made the jam bigger and got more gigs. Now we are known as one of the top bands in the Midwest. We love playing live music because you get a much more authentic experience with people actually playing instruments and sharing what they feel deep down in their soul as they perform! All of our past clients agree- Downtown Collective is a high energy group that gets everyone dancing!
We aren't like your typical band because we like to put the focus on the event and the people involved. We are really good at reading the crowd and mixing our set list up to play music for everyone. The stage and dance floor combines into a community of people having the time of their lives! People are dancing AND singing with us. Yes we are a cover band, but we actually cover the songs and do our own little spins on the arrangements of the songs.

It’s been three months since our wedding, and we’re still hearing from guests about how amazing The Downtown Collective was - everyone keeps saying it’s the best wedding band they’ve ever seen by a landslide. My husband and I couldn’t agree more. Ether and the team were so easy & great to work with from our very first call all the way through wedding day, and on the night of, they brought the best energy and kept the party going nonstop. The photo booth photos were also super high quality and such a big hit with our guests. I recommend The Downtown Collective to everyone!
THE best party decision!
Hiring Downtown Collective for our wedding was, without a doubt, the most talked about part of our wedding. Ether is incredibly professional in the lead up to the event, making sure they had all of the info that they needed, and even helped me make a few decisions. We went with the Legend package and the musicians for the ceremony were beyond what I ever expected. I only wish that I could have sat in the church as the bride to listen to the pre-ceremony music live. You don't just get "good" musicians, you get expert professional musicians! But the reception really blew us away. The cocktail hour music made the venue feel like we were at the fanciest party and then when the dance party started, EVERYONE was dancing! They played a wide range of music and really set the vibe for the evening to be high energy and a ton of fun. I had been saving up for a few years to hire Downtown Collective specifically after seeing some videos online, and it was 100% worth it. We've been hearing from friends and family ever since the wedding about how fabulous they were and asking for their info. There should be no "on the fence" thoughts about hiring them. The value that they bring to your day is incredible.

The Downtown Collective Band was a HIT at our wedding on June 7th! They were a dream to work with and made sure all of our wishes were being met. I am still getting compliments over a month later on how amazing they were! You will not be sorry when you book this band. Any package you get, they will go above and beyond!
MAGICAL
Hiring Downtown Collective was absolutely the single best decision we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, they were professional, kind, and completely on top of every detail. But nothing could have prepared us for how incredible they would be on the actual day. What you see on their socials doesn’t even begin to do them justice. They brought so much energy and interaction that the dance floor was impossible to leave. From the first song to the very last, it was packed. I can’t tell you how many compliments we received from our guests about the band and the overall experience they helped create. Beyond the music, they were also incredible MCs. They kept the entire evening flowing seamlessly and took so much pressure off me as a bride. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. They had every transition, announcement, and moment handled beautifully. Downtown Collective was worth the investment a thousand times over. They made our wedding night magical, and I truly cannot recommend them enough.
