In November 2007, Brooks Bassler founded BB’s with the original 1,100-square-foot restaurant at Montrose and Westheimer in Houston, Texas. It was the perfect starter! Bassler opened BB’s with the intention of creating a unique brand. BB’s would feature authentic New Orleans-style po’boys and Tex-Orleans cooking with a distinct menu, offered how and when customers wanted it: for dine-in, catering, and take-out, and available for late-night dining as well as during traditional hours.

BB’s dine-in menu was inspired by Bassler’s grandmother (Maw Maw), family recipes, and extensive research from inside the best po’boy shops throughout the New Orleans area. Serving traditional Southern Louisiana-style cooking fused with a Texas twist, BB’s created its very own homemade food concept called “Tex-Orleans cooking.”

Sample catered weddings

We were inspired by Kim and Randy to put together a menu of some of our best Cajun recipes , especially with Randy's family from Louisiana. We added two options for a main course and two options for a side, as well as some of our seasoned shoestring fries.

    My favorite dishes include the gumbo (specifically the chicken & sausage), fried gulf shrimp, cajun-pecan crusted chicken, and the bread pudding. Although, all of the food is very delicious and reminds me of my dad's Louisiana family cooking growing up. The management is very kind and quick to respond with any questions, comments, or concerns. Our staff is friendly and hard-working as well. We look forward to helping couples add a little cajun spice to their weddings.
