Founder + Lead Florist

My name is Elizabeth, I'm a Floral Designer and Illustrator based in NYC. Bess was founded after many late nights and early mornings spent creating floral designs influenced by my own art, and a love for the natural environment that I cherish. I love to take an intuitive and creative approach with each event and couple I work with; learning each and every client's story and vision as as a basis for my creations, and then applying those special details into my designs. Bess embraces modern shapes balanced with subtle gestures, whimsical movement, and seasonality that help bring your vision to fruition.

Bess is not your typical floral studio: All of our designs are made with eco friendly foam-free mechanics, and our vessels are vintage, re-used or locally made. All flower waste gets composted onsite. Anything you don't keep at the end of the wedding gets donated or composted.

    Eliza at Bess is amazing to work with. She executed the vision for my wedding even better than I could have imagined. I wanted something colorful and natural to go with our green garden venue, and everything was just absolutely perfect.
