About Firecracker Floral Design
Kendra Norman
Founded in 2018, Firecracker Floral Design specializes in floral and botanical event styling in the greater New York City area. With an emphasis on locally sourced material and seasonally available flowers, Firecracker Floral Design's sustainably driven wedding and event arrangement styling is rooted in a passion for the natural world of plants and flora. Each client is unique, and Firecracker Floral strives to work closely with couples in the interest of best expressing the singularity of their event. Together, we develop fully customized tablescapes, personal florals, and space decor that is meaningful.
My design aesthetic is the product of an education in visual arts and work experience in floral design and urban landscaping. There is something sentimental in celebrating life's big moments with living materials. And, with an eye towards the future, whenever possible Firecracker Floral's arrangements incorporate live plants. All plants are sourced from Long Island based nurseries and growers. When using cut blooms and the design allows, I incorporate seasonal flowers that are locally available at farmers markets, grown by me, and foraged.

Amazing Wedding
Kendra and the whole Firecracker Floral team are absolutely amazing. My husband and I did not know what to expect when getting a florist for our wedding. Kendra was SO attentive to our needs. By going through different photos we sent. Going scene by scene of what we wanted the ceremony to look like and the main dining space. Her creative mix of Florals along with plants to keep us in budget… Firecracker Floral is so creative! We even had a hiccup when it rained and the florals had to be moved from outside to inside for the ceremony last minute.. Kendra and the team were so accommodating and were able to set everything back up so the new ceremony inside could take place. We cannot recommend them more! If you are looking for a Florist for your wedding or any occasion, the team at Firecracker Florist should be a top consideration if not THE pick!

From our first interaction, Kendra and her team were clear, responsive, and positive in their communication, putting us at ease throughout the planning process. The flowers they provided were STUNNING - unique and effortless in their beauty, perfect for our day. The arrangements and overall floral experience were so positive. Kendra runs a small business but packs a big bang for your big day - we cannot recommend Firecracker Floral Design highly enough!
Great flowers for small wedding in NYC
Was a very friendly and flexible vendor who did a great job listening to what we wanted our small venue to look like- the flowers were beautiful and were displayed as discussed. She was affordable for NYC and a great option for small wedding.
Kendra is amazing!
Quite honestly our wedding would not have been the same had we not booked Kendra. She is a true expert and clearly cares so much about plants that she was able to bring our very half-baked idea for our wedding to life. All we knew is we didn’t want any flowers, and just wanted plants, and Kendra took it from there and curated a collection of beautiful plants and decorated the space in even better than we could have imagined! She was communicative throughout the whole process, and made such great suggestions from her experience when we didn’t even really know what we wanted. Our guests were able to take home the plants at the end of the night and they were ECSTATIC, it was really such a fun element of our wedding. On top of all of that Kendra is a wonderful person and so fun to work with. If you’re thinking about booking with Kendra, absolutely do it!
