I've been working in the beauty industry over 21 years. My career began after earning a cosmetology license, at the age of 19. This is when I began working for prestigious cosmetic companies such as Chanel, Estee Lauder, and MAC. I received training from leading people in the makeup industry, along with assisting and working along side celebrity makeup artists. Roles I've held during my career include working as a freelance makeup artist, cosmetic retail manager, cosmetic business manager, and makeup trainer.

My experience is what has given me the foundation to be able to work with people of all ages and all skin-tones. In 2016, my company Makeup by Anna Grimes came to fruition. Since then, I've been privileged to work with hundreds of brides and clients from all over the world. I offer on-location makeup, in-studio makeup and brow services. I serve the beautiful Central Coast of California. My studio is located at the OATS in San Luis Obispo. All services are by appointment only.

Anna Grimes is a joy to work with! I hired her to do makeup this past September for my wedding in Cayucos. Anna did an amazing job of highlighting all my bridesmaid's beauty and creating a relaxing environment which set us all up for a great day. Anna was approachable and responsive throughout the process and I really enjoyed the opportunity to establish a relationship with her during the makeup trial. From that experience, I was able to make adjustments to my makeup plan so that I truly felt my best on my wedding day. She also gave me great skin care recommendations for the weeks/days leading up to the wedding. I'd love the chance to work with her again!

Anna was truly amazing! She was very communicative and made sure she understood what I was hoping for and that she was capturing my personal style. During the trial she made adjustments and gave me different options to help me find my perfect look. She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day and I'm so happy I went with her!
