Love, Honor, and Cherish Weddings packages

The Old Standby

This is pretty much all most people need; I don't add in any surcharges for things like mileage or side ceremonies, because a) that's not how I prefer to do things, and b) I avoid math whenever possible.

  • Initial meeting
  • Draft of your ceremony on a Google Doc
  • Officiating at your venue

  • Dave is the best!

Dave was an amazing wedding officiant and we would recommend to anyone. From our very first interaction, he was responsive, attentive, and truly listened to our vision for the ceremony. On the day of, Dave’s caring nature and attention to detail made us feel completely at ease. The ceremony he crafted for us was thoughtful and personalized, and many of our guests remarked that the officiant seemed like a long-time friend. We are so grateful to Dave, and Love, Honor, and Cherish Weddings for helping to make our special day so meaningful and memorable.

The comfort and ease that Dave brought to the wedding with his reassuring, “I’ve got this, whatever you want, it’s your wedding” attitude was exactly what an anxious bride needed. We are not a religious couple, nor are we especially romantic, but we still wanted a traditional, classic ceremony. That balance was perfectly achieved because Dave actively listens to his clients and offers a variety of unique options. I cannot overstate how much overthinking and stressing I did about every other aspect of the wedding, but I was so relaxed and confident that the ceremony would be perfect, and I was right. Over a year later my husband and I still talk about how the ceremony was the best part of the night. If you’re looking for an officiant who will come to you with an open mind, no judgement, and genuine care, there is no better person than David Lang.

  • Such a great choice!

A few hours after my husband and I got engaged, I asked him, "What if we just had a super tiny wedding and got married in a week?" Cue a mad scramble to find an officiant, photographer, and venue. We had already spoken to one potential officiant who didn't ask us any questions or tell us what he was planning to do—not great—so when our photographer recommended Dave, we were thrilled he was available. When we met up over Zoom to talk, it was clear he's very smart and funny, and loves love without being mushy about it. He crafted a ceremony that was short and sweet, complete with a reading that was a great match for us. I loved that he sent us the full script with free rein to adjust it to our liking. I, an endless word-fusser, only made one small change. On the day, he was already laughing with our witnesses when we arrived, and it set the scene so beautifully for us to have a joyful, laid back ceremony. It was perfect. He's happy to provide ideas but really wants the ceremony to work for you as a couple. He'll talk about his outfit options for you to choose from. (We went with a navy suit but he has a rad hot pink one too if that fits your vision. I suspect he would gamely wear an Iron Man costume or KISS makeup if that were your dream.) That open thoughtfulness extends to whatever kind of ceremony you want—big or small, religious or secular, traditional or offbeat. Zero judgment, just a steady stream of smart questions, good ideas, and caring support. And he writes the best emails. I haven't laughed that hard or felt so sparklingly clever in writing in years.

This is without a doubt the most effusive review I have ever received. I know there's a saying that we should strive to be the people our dogs think we are, but it may be more accurate for me to say that my goal is to be the kind of officiant Kailen and Noah believe me to be. (And now I really want to officiate a wedding while wearing KISS makeup. But not Peter Criss, because that kitty-cat thing he had going on in the 70s was just bizarre.)
