I like to find beauty in the balance between the shadows and the light. They are rarely inseparable. They are complex and totally opposite and yet they can not live without the other. Just like real connection. What is real is beautiful. Only love is real. Your wedding day is important. To you. To your families. To me. And I don’t take it lightly. From helping you with your timeline, to keeping family pictures organized and stress free, I have your back! Many of my Bride’s tell me that I am a calming energy for them on the day of, someone they totally trust, which helps relieve the jitters and nervous energy on your most sacred day. After shooting well over 400 weddings, I have learned so many helpful ways to keep your wedding day from feeling like a play, allowing you to exhale, have fun and enjoy your kick-ass party! My husband and I knew we had to work with Sam after our first meeting. We envisioned a wedding that felt intimate, warm, and romantic. Beyond her stunning photographs—which use light and shadow in the most intricate way—I remember telling her we could see her genuinely connecting with us and our guests. Her energy and warmth were what truly sold us, qualities that don’t always come naturally to everyone. Those very traits come through in the emotion and tenderness she captures in her photos. And on our wedding day, she delivered all of that and more. She chatted with our guests, handed me tissues at just the right moments, and—my absolute favorite—danced with me on the dance floor. Sam was the first vendor we booked. From the moment I saw her photos I knew I absolutely needed her for our day. From our very first call, there was an instant connection and I knew she was going to be so much more than my wedding photographer. We just spoke the same language. Throughout the entire planning process she was a guiding light, helping us with the timeline and prioritizing how we wanted the day to feel. On the day itself, she kept everything on even ahead of schedule and worked expertly around the rain! She kept me calm, protected my space, and allowed us to be fully present with our people. There was no painful posing or forced smiles, only genuine joy and captured experience. Sam is worth her weight in GOLD. One month later, people are still telling me how much they loved her. Finding a good photographer was high on our priority list for vendors. We got married outside in the Catskill Mountains and as such we wanted a photographer capable of capturing the depth of the forest. After looking through Sam's portfolio we knew she was good, but after working with her and seeing her work firsthand we can say she's the best. Getting your photo taken can be awkward, especially given the high stakes of a wedding. But Sam is able to make you feel immediately comfortable while simultaneously taking the most stunning photos you'll ever see. We also had a connection session with her, which we would highly recommend so that you can know how she works - very fun and relaxed, but professional. Sam helped us outline the entire day of the wedding, and based on her knowledge the day went off without a hitch. We're so grateful she agreed to work with us!

Sam June is simply an artist. There is an undeniable coolness with her vibe and an authenticity she brings to her work. From the first phone call, through the delivery of our wedding album, Sam shows a passion for her clients and is genuinely able to connect on a deep level through her photography. We were lucky enough to have her genius to capture our wedding day. We had heavy rain the majority of our October wedding in the Hudson Valley, which Sam navigated beautifully at Red Maple Vineyard. Looking back on the photos has allowed us to remember a joyous day in our lives with our friends and family. Sam's eye catches stunning moments you can marvel at.
