Hi, I'm Cody, and this is my dream job. Even after 15 years. I might even be getting good at this after all this time, but I try not to take myself to seriously. More about me? Okay! I also teach/mentor other photographers. I'm sometimes a writer and always a runner. I've raised two incredible daughters. I'm lucky enough to be living in the mountains of Colorado with my partner, Jenn, and our pup Sage. I’ve photographed over 450 weddings across the US, Europe, and the Caribbean. But there is no place like Colorado. I love traveling for weddings also and usually don't charge any travel charges for weddings in North America.

What I do as a Colorado wedding photographer is a little different—it’s “immersive” wedding photography. I really get to know my couples in the months and weeks leading up to their wedding. I attend their rehearsal to meet the rest of the family and friends, and I cover their wedding day from the first stroke of makeup to the last song of the reception. For all the moments. Because I love storytelling, photography, and people (maybe not in that order). Plus, I have no social life, and this is the only way I can make friends. I shoot only weddings and cap my weddings at 25/year so that I can deliver couples' weddings in three weeks or less.

Cody was brilliant! I could not recommend him enough. I’m usually very camera anxious and hate my picture being taken so having a photographer follow me around for an entire day would typically be my nightmare. However, Cody made me so comfortable and was such a calming energy. I LOVE how our photos turned out and my husband and I look so natural and fantastic in every picture! My only complaint it how I’m going to be able to decide which ones to frame for my walls…I may need more walls!

Typically, couples book me about 18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful.

No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. But I do know some videographers I can recommend.

Within two weeks. The only time this takes any longer (no more than a week or two longer) is when I have a destination wedding immediately after your wedding and have to travel for it immediately.

I average over 350 edited photos per wedding.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking or missed a wedding. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my close colleagues. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

I feel a wedding is a story to be told, and the only way to tell the entire story is to cover it from beginning to end. I attend your rehearsal or gathering the night before to get photos from that event (and to meet and break the ice with the fam and friends). The next morning I begin covering your wedding the moment you start your hair and makeup preparation, and I continue coverage all the way to the very end of the reception. I average fifteen hours of coverage on wedding days. Usually the DJ is the only person who packs up and leaves after me.

The deposit/retainer is $1000, and I will invoice you via Square in an email. You can then pay that online with a debit or credit card.

Payments are all made online with a debit card via an invoice on Square. After the booking deposit/retainer no other payment is due until 90 days before your wedding date. At that point another $1500 is due, and I will send an invoice for that amount. But...I always call or text you before as a reminder. I hate surprise bills and don't want to send you one either. The balance remaining is not due until ten days before your ceremony.
