We used Ivory Grove for our wedding in May. From the time we contacted them up until our wedding day Lindsey did an amazing job of staying in touch and making sure everything ran smoothly for our day! Both our photographer and videographer reached out and listened to our vision for the day. We received our photos and video footage quickly after the wedding. We were very happy with the media we received. They captured beautiful pictures and moments from our day that we will cherish forever!

Weddings are expensive, and every little thing adds up! At first I was not planning to do videography because of how high some of the quotes I was getting and I felt I could use that expense elsewhere. I started to realize I would maybe regret not having video memory of my special day and decide to look again. I came across Ivory Grove and truly thought it was too good to be true! But they exceeded my expectations and I’m so so happy I found them!

We have a small, local team of photographers and videographers. We often get asked, "Who will be my photographer/videographer? Do I get to pick?" We are happy to show you portfolios of our individual team members! But also keep in mind that there are companies out there who book weddings and outsource to random photographers/videographers. THIS IS NOT US! All our team members go through our onboarding program/training and often start as second shooters for us. We will not send a photographer or videographer to your wedding whom we do not have 100% confidence in. We are real people!

Of course! We love to help with timelines. Your wedding timeline is as unique as you are. We know that trying to decide how much time you need for photography & videography can be tricky to calculate. Know that we are very flexible and if you need to change the number of hours as you get closer to your wedding day and your plans become more set, we are happy to help you adjust that. We can also build you a custom package to suit your individual needs. Send us a message, and we would love to share with you our sample timelines and best tips to make your day go smoothly!

Yes! We are happy to email proof of insurance to your venue upon request.

We have two options for the deposit. 1. 50% now and 50% due the week of the wedding 2. 15% now and the rest divided monthly until the wedding We are also happy to set up a payment plan that best supports your needs and budget.

It depends on your location. If your location does require an added travel expense, it will be clearly listed on your customized proposal. Also, please let us know if there is a specific place you want to take engagement photos. We will let you know if there is a travel fee for that location. Otherwise, we expect the engagement session to be taken within 25 miles of the nearest major city to your venue (St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia or Chicago). We do not believe in hidden travel fees!

Our standard turnaround time is 30 days. Of course, this can vary a little during our busy season, but generally speaking, we have all media delivered within 30-60 days. The turnaround time on our engagement sessions is typically 2-3 weeks.

We had Layne and Alyson as our photographers and Levi and Luke as our videographers. We just got married at the end of May so our media is still being processed but I will try to add photos to this review when I can. \n Layne, Alyson, Levi and Luke were all wonderful! They seemed to work so well with each other and with us and made the whole day run smoothly. Everyone seemed so excited to be there and they really added to the excitement of the day! All 4 of them seemed really excited about the shots they were getting, we can’t wait to see them! \nLayne was pretty much with me and the girls all day and I’m so happy she was. :)\nShe made the day really easy going and her enthusiasm really made us feel good and comfortable in front of the camera :) We’re so excited to see all her photos and from the little sneak peaks she gave us throughout the day we know they’re going to be gorgeous!\nShe has such a creative eye! Her perspective and her energy really made the day special and I’m so grateful she was there :)\nFrom the beginning working with Layne was special. She really knows what she’s doing and was able to put together a phenomenal timeline for us to follow on wedding day. We would have been lost without her!\nAlyson spent a lot of time with my husband and his groomsmen. When I ask him how photos went for them he always says Alyson was awesome! She was super fun and really creative with her poses. She asked the groomsmen how willing they were to do different ideas and they all agreed that they’d want to go all out! Mike says that the ideas she came up with were so fun and kept the guys all laughing and having a great time. We can’t wait to see how the photos all turned out! \nLevi was with us for the whole day. She was so helpful in double checking our timeline and adjusting it so our second shooter/videographer’s time was maximized: we decided to have him come later so that the most important parts were captured.\nBefore the ceremony when I noticed Levi's camera on me I kept asking what I should do. Levi told me to just relax with my girls and pretend she wasn't there. That helped me to stay in the moment with the little time I had with my bridesmaids before the craziness of the day :)\nWhen we got to our photo location Levi was great at coming up with ideas on how to pose us. Poses that were natural and comfortable for us but also creative with the way the camera or drone would fly in. We can’t wait to see how everything came out! \nLuke was our second videographer. We are so glad he was there on the wedding day. Luke seemed so genuinely excited about the shots that he was getting; that was infectious and got us extra excited to keep posing and taking as many photos and videos as possible. He knew exactly what to say to keep us smiling and comfortable posing in front of the camera.\nWe are so grateful for the team that was with us on our wedding day. It is pretty expensive- we hired a different photographer for our event in Colorado and it was way more affordable even though they offered the same thing. We were super happy with our engagement photo session. Unfortunately, though we had the same photographer for our engagement session and our wedding reception, we seemed to get better photos during the engagement session than the wedding reception. We had a little bit of trouble finding our photographer at our reception when we wanted her around for certain photos. But they were always punctual, arriving on time as expected and got images of the particular things we requested. They then have a team of different people who edit the photos before getting them to you. I kind of wonder how much they really do, though.. there were some blemishes I wanted removed from my face in our engagement photos that they didn’t fix, and there was a wet spot on my sister’s dress at the reception that they didn’t bother to remove either, so I feel like I have more work to do to go in and edit those things out myself. But I was happy with the turnaround time to get the photos back to us. Ivory Grove let me look at several of their photographers’ portfolios since I was worried they might have different styles. They were all very similar and beautiful, but I did like Erika’s the most and they set me up with her. Erika took our engagement photos and our wedding photos and she did a PHENOMENAL job. She got every angle of every moment, and a lot of my guests mentioned how impressed they were that she was getting on the ground for some shots, setting up lighting, and orchestrating everyone to make sure I got all the photos I requested. Ivory Grove finished editing the photos she took in only 2 weeks, and the album they sent has sooo many photos in it. I should have known because I got a lot of engagement photos back as well, but I was just blown away by the amount of gorgeous photos they gave me. It’s also so easy for me to download them onto my phone or computer. The investment was well worth it, but also they were more affordable than a lot of other photographers I’d looked into! I appreciated how they communicated often throughout the whole process and not just at the beginning. The payment structure was easy and automatic so that I could space it out until the wedding. They delivered the photos quickly and gave me more when asked for a couple more of a particular moment of the big day. For an organization as a whole, I would rate them as high quality! \nI would probably rate my photographer experience a little less than 4 stars and closer to 3-3.5. I enjoyed my photographer during engagement photos. She was easy to talk to and when we got them back we discussed things I did and did not like about them. (Example: touch ups in our body positions needed pointed out, and the brightness of our water background not my style). I felt good going into the wedding day after that experience. In the pre wedding call, the photographer felt a bit more scattered. On wedding day, it felt similar. Many of the shots were taken very wide, creative poses weren’t quite what we talked about especially during our first dance. During our posed portraits, my MOH who is also a photographer helped with positioning and touch ups. Her boyfriend carried the lights around for the photographer. \n\nAll that to say, I did get some beautiful pictures, the were a few artistic choices made I didn’t love. However, they may be just your style so explore it if you love what you are seeing. I think discussion having a 2nd photographer is important if you book the photographer I had or do the engagement photos to make sure you connect and talk to Ivory Grove afterward. When the fantastic day is over, however, all you have to look back on are the pictures and videos, so we stayed a little nervous until receiving all the photos and footage. And WOW!
