My name is Jen El-Haddad! I am the owner and photographer of Jennifer Mary Photography and specializing in Branding and Wedding Photography. My love for photography started in elementary school. I was always snapping photos with my Poloroid sticker camera or a disposable camera. I fell in love with the story telling. I'm a curly-headed, Old Bay loving, Lilly Pulitzer wearing, and caffeine-dependent millennial. In late 2017, I moved from Maryland to gorgeous Charleston, SC; where I experienced my first Southern snow storm (which consisted of 4 inches of snow and 2 weeks of snow days for students! What a time to move!)
During my Junior year of high school, I took my first Black & White Film Class, and fell in love! When I wasn't on a soccer field, you could always find me in the dark room. Fast forward. a few years, I started this business almost a decade ago, as a Photography/Computer Digital Imagery student with a dream to share artistic joy with others. However, after graduation, life seemed to have a different plan and I shifted to Corporate America. During the pandemic, I craved a creative release and I found my love for photography (again). I decided to relaunch my business in March 2021, and took JMP full-time on May 28, 2021.

Amazing Local Charleston Photographer
Jen was amazing! Prior to our wedding we booked our engagement photos with Jen, so we could practice poses. I had a very particular lighting style, and Jen listened to my wishes and used the most amazing light angles and edited the photos in the was I had asked for. Prior to the wedding we had phone calls and meetings to make sure we had a set list of the photos I wanted, so that the day of nothing would be missed and it was stress free. Wedding day Jen captured every moment from getting ready, to the ceremony, family portraits, couples photos and even dances at the reception. Jen is kind, caring, respectful and professional. She was truly a joy to work with and I am in love with my wedding photos! I highly recommend booking your wedding, engagement or any pictures with this lovely photographer!
