    Mar photographed our engagement session, and from the very beginning, she was thoughtful, patient, and incredibly easy to work with. She gave us great suggestions for locations, was flexible with planning, and made the entire process feel effortless and calm. On the day of the shoot, I was feeling rushed, unprepared, and honestly not very confident. But Mar’s presence shifted everything. She made both me and my fiancé feel so comfortable and seen—even though we had never taken couples photos before. Her calm energy grounded me, and by the end of the session, I felt radiant. As a melanated woman, I’ve often worried about how my skin would be captured on camera. Mar didn’t try to lighten or alter anything—she embraced who I am. I looked like myself in the photos: natural, beautiful, and deeply loved. That meant so much to me. Mar is more than just a talented photographer—she’s someone who truly sees people.     Working with Mar was the absolute best! My husband and I are not the most affectionate, but when we received our pictures, we love them so much. She captured our love and our story perfectly. During my getting ready pictures, she made me comfortable and beautiful. I never felt any awkward times and she made every moment a good time. She caught the most fun pictures of my husband and I, along with our wedding party. When my Maid of Honors or coordinator were not around, she held on to my blotting sheets and lip gloss, made sure I was good, it was great! She was more than our photographer that day and we absolutely appreciated it, and loved it. It was a quick turnover and such quality work; we would recommend her to anyone!!

    It was so easy to work with Marissa, from beginning to the end. We don't know how to pose and don't often take photos, but Marissa knew how to direct us and made us feel super comfortable. We love ALL of our photos, which is so rare. I never heard of a bride who loved every single shot their photographer took. We should have hired her for our engagement photos, but oh well. We'll be sure to hire her for all our photos because we love her and her work so much.
