I started photographing weddings 9 years ago and was influenced by the two great passions in my life at the time: landscape photography and teaching. My love for both deeply influence my wedding photography because I find inspiration in both the natural setting of a wedding as well as special moments between people. When I document weddings I am in all places at once, constantly searching for great light to highlight beautiful settings as well as the heartfelt, emotional moments...your wedding day deserves to be documented in all its glory and beauty. When I have free time I love cooking, traveling, brewing beer, hiking, and running.
We begin by getting to know each other so that your photos fully reflect you and tell your unique story, and so that you feel more comfortable on your wedding day. As we progress through your planning process we work together and develop timelines so that all of your favorite people and moments are photographed. On your big day I am always there but never noticed to allow you to truly be in the moment. When it is time to pose, I use simple yet creative prompts because your photos should feel natural and "like you." Your photos will feel like authentic memories and will be treasured for a lifetime since I document your day as it truly happens.

I HIGHLY recommend hiring Matt!
My husband and I are both graphic designers, so we had high expectations — and Matt absolutely delivered. He documented our elopement so beautifully; every photo feels like a piece of art and a true reflection of the day. He was incredibly easy to work with, made us feel totally comfortable in front of the camera, and brought such a positive, calm energy to the experience. Matthew was phenomenal. From our first meeting through the end of our wedding, Matthew was calm, friendly, organized, and professional, and he worked well with everyone from our grandparents to our 3-year-old ringbearer . We felt at ease with him in control of our wedding photos and could not be happier with the results--absolutely beautiful photos that tell the complete story of our wedding. Highly recommend!

We are so happy with how all our photos turned out with Matthew! He was great from the beginning, having a call to better understand his style and how the day would go even before booking. Prior to the event he had a detailed questionnaire to complete to make sure all the photos we wanted were accounted for. Matthew was familiar with our venue and even went ahead of time to figure out the best spots to take photos. The day of was great as well! He gave great instruction and was very organized so we never had to worry about getting any photos. To top it all off the photos are amazing!! We were beyond impressed with the initial teasers and when we saw the whole album, it really is a work of art! We couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out. Highly recommend!!
