Nadia & Gunnar Photography

We are Nadia & Gunnar. We love being outside. We met during our early years in college on our school swim team and had a few photography classes together. It was through our mutual love of photography that we started dating. Fast forward 9 years we are now married!!! We are both passionate with two diverse backgrounds: Nadia in fine art and Gunnar in journalism/documentary film making. When it comes to shooting we feel we are blessed to be able to pursue what we love together. We are all about what’s real; capturing life’s small (and large!) moments.

We Do Things A Little Differently Even though we can take beautiful images putting you in front of a cool sunset or is some crazy locale, that’s not what we are about. This isn’t going to be just an afternoon of staged, awkward feeling, forced smiles and poses. We are not just a vendor and you're not just our client. We're friends. We get really invested into all our couples because we love to be more than just a photographer to you. Whatever you want documented we are your team. We want you to be able to look back at these photos for decades and feel that same love you feel for each other right now.

Nadia and Gunnar were the perfect photographers, from our surprise engagement session to our wedding day. From our very first inquiry, their communication was clear, detailed, and personal - making us feel like family. On the day of, they were incredibly thorough, ensuring they captured every special moment and detail, while ensuring everything ran smoothly and according to schedule. We could barely wait for our gallery delivery, which was super speedy compared with other photographers, and our final photos were the best depiction of the day and of us as a couple. Nadia and Gunnar have an incredible artistic eye, and their couple-focused approach resulted in beautiful images that we will cherish forever. Working as a team, they were able to capture every angle! Their willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs made them invaluable, and they will always be our go-to for photo needs. Nadia and Gunnar are so lovely to work with. Not only did I end up with images I will love forever but they made me feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. They are professional and well seasoned. Their eye is incredible and I look forward to working with them again in the future!

I LOVE our engagement photos so much ! Nadia did our engagement photos in Central Park, NYC. I was so nervous because it was raining but her attitude was so positive and calmed me down instantly :) during the shoot , she was patient and helped us feel more comfortable. She helped direct some poses because we are awkward (LOL) and caught some really nice candid shots . Bottom line is that I couldn’t have asked for better photographer !! I receive so many compliments on the engagement photos , some look like they’re straight from a magazine :) thank you , nadia !! You’re the best ! :) here them, you won’t regret it !

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Nadia and Gunnar! We met with them ahead of time at a local brewery and quickly learned that they would be a great fit. Their photography style is bold and beautiful, and the couple is very professional and easy to work with. It was so hard to narrow down our selection because there were soo many great shots! I can’t wait to work with them again some day! Highly recommend!

Most definitely!!! We would love to meet you in person over coffee or if you’re a beer drinker then beer it is. We live in Orange County if you live nearby we would love to see you. If not we can always chat on the phone or FaceTime.

All packages you get your digital images on online gallery, one folder all in high resolution and another at a perfect web sharing size. All images are individually edited by us with love, some will be color some will be black and white. We only do natural editing we don't do beauty edit. If you have an unfortunate zit I will get rid of it for you (we got you…)

Let us know the coverage you'd like and I can send you a little bit of paperwork. Once that is returned I send you an invoice for the first installment. Once paid your date is all yours and no other appointments will be taken for that day.

Each one of our packages varies in how many images are delivered, but We promise we will always include plenty of images of everything we capture. We don’t like limit the amount images recieve because we dont believe in keeping images from you to get you to pay more like some photographers do. These are your memories, we want you enjoy looking through every last one.

Since we take on a limited amount of jobs per year, We have a faster turnaround time than a lot photographers! The turnaround all depends on how much we shoot. Typically, for sessions it takes 2 weeks or less and weddings take 8 weeks or less. We try to get them out to you as soon as possible while making sure we give time to each and every image.

No, as we believe that the creative process of editing is where the magic happens without this your images would just be unfinished.

We require a 30% retainer to secure your spot on our calendar, and the remaining 70% is due 3 weeks before our scheduled session. If you would like you can split the payments (up to 3) to make it more affordable, we are more than happy to work with you.

Don't worry!! We have you covered, we have a what to wear guide that we can send to you.

We believe in being your true self, so we don’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there (bruise, scrape, acne etc unless you’d like us to leave them in the photos). If you’re especially self conscious about something, please let us know as we will be sure to be extra aware of that while we are posing you.

If you’ve already put a deposit down on a date then have to move/cancel it. We wont require a second deposit, we would be more than happy reschedule, as reminder all dates are first come first served.

Absolutely! We have shot tons of weddings (and we are married team) We understand everything that goes into planning your big day. Let us know what you need help with, or if you need recommendations.

Please don't stress, we want you to just be yourselves and we will help you with gentle guidance. We prefer capturing real moments rather than too posed, we want you to get a little carried away and caught up in the moment, forget that we are there and kiss how you'd normally kiss, smile and cuddle like you would when no one is looking. We will do the work to capture that.
