Rob Spring Photography is a wedding photography company in Saratoga Springs, New York. They specialize in candid wedding day photography with a fun twist. With a mix of contemporary and traditional styles, this photographer captures all the details on the couple's special day. Having photographed over 600 weddings, Rob Spring Photography knows how to make couples feel comfortable in front of a camera, or even forget it’s there!

With our studio, you will receive a great deal of personal attention, yet have the entire studio here to support you throughout the entire booking, planning, wedding, and delivery process. It's the best of both worlds! We are also highly organized, ensuring your wedding day runs smoothly - resulting in genuine smiles and moments, and hundreds of beautiful photos to prove just how great your day was!

I have no doubt of the talent that overflows from this studio, but mine and my (now husband!)'s hearts were set on Rob after we spent 3 hours hanging out with him, sheltering from the cold rain since we motorcycled there. His grace and warm demeanor belies how quickly and astutely he notices little details, almost like a supercomputer (or like a Rob...ot! hah). He is an expert at assessing lighting situations, but what's even more impressive is how he can massage the vibe of the room to herd people where he wants them to go. Also, his double-holster camera setup makes him look so freakin cool! I often feel like weddings are an elaborate play/dinner, meant to entertain and satiate the family members who attend. Considering the stress of being project manager and hostess, having Rob for our engagement shoot and on our wedding day was something we both looked forward to immensely. Things are fun with him! And he's so thoughtful, another relief from stressful planning and expectations. He went rooting through the shrubbery and got us pictures of adorable bumblebees, remembering that we were so smitten by them during our engagement shoot :) He didn't find any snails, though! Oh, well! I'm often critical of photographers' work because I am so critical of my own. But, without a doubt, I recognize the leagues of honed talent that Rob has, as well as his studio! The assistant, Lilly, is smart and such a sweetheart, and whoever does the editing -- Emily? -- is awesome. For people who would prefer to do photography work themselves, Ryan and I choose Rob without question. Thank you, Rob and co., for all your hard work and dedication to craft!!!!!!

Seraphim!! Ahh!! I ALSO knew I wanted to shoot your wedding when you and Ryan showed up at my studio on your motorcycles IN THE RAIN! Anyone willing to go out on a motorcycle in the cold rain to meet a photographer is automatically on my favorites list!! Thank you so very much for taking the time out to write this incredible review - it really does mean the world to me to know that you are happy. I can honestly say that I never remember how much someone pays me to photograph their wedding, but I ALWAYS remember the way the couple looked at each other and if they were happy on their wedding day. We were so happy and lucky to have Sarah and the Rob Spring team photograph our wedding!! Sarah was an integral part of making sure our day went smoothly with her planning and her ability to keep everything moving. From our first phone call, we knew she was who we wanted photographing our wedding. We were nervous to be photographed, but she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and her sense of humor made us feel like we had known her for forever! She was flexible with our engagement photo shoot (we live out of state and had to work with some weather changes), and was always willing to help out with any questions we had as we were planning for photos/groups/family photos. Our engagement photos were so beautiful we had a hard time choosing a favorite! On our actual wedding day, we were so lucky to also have Dyan and Egan join the team - and we were so lucky to have them both! Dyan was such a great addition and was helpful in capturing extra moments or even guarding my dress as we navigated different group shots! Egan played a crucial role in keeping everything on track and was incredibly sweet. We wanted a couple of big family photo shots and Sarah managed our families so well while making everyone laugh!! She was willing to try out a fun photo game at our reception moving table to table taking candid shots. While we were laughing, talking, and enjoying our moments throughout the day, Sarah managed to capture those candid shots that have become some of our favorites while also taking amazing still shots that our families will enjoy for years to come. We felt so comfortable with her and the team. She coordinated so well with our videographer and the venue and our DJ - proving why Sarah and Rob Spring Photography has such an amazing reputation. We got our sneak peak photos so quickly too! If you are looking for a photographer with great jokes, incredible photography skills, and someone who will capture your wedding day beautifully, we absolutely recommend Sarah or anyone on the Rob Spring Photography team! We could not thank them enough for capturing our magical day.

Rob, Sarah, Mitch, and team were just incredible to work with on my wedding day.. they really are the dream team! We had our engagement photos done with Rob so we knew he was great, but after spending our entire wedding day with him & team we love them even more! Before our wedding, Rob and his team were always so responsive at answering any questions we had, and even sent a detailed timeline months before. Any photos we wanted to change or add to our wedding day, Rob made happen. They are such a fun group to be around, extremely professional, and beyond talented at what they do. They made the process of taking photos enjoyable for everyone... our bridal party and family had nothing but positive things to say about our photographers and how great they were! We had such a great time spending the day with Rob and team, I was sad when they had to leave at the end of the wedding! I would recommend Rob Spring Photography to anyone on their wedding day. We are somewhere in the middle between candid and posed – but the mantra that everyone in our studio follows is “Whatever it takes to keep you happy and comfortable.” If you are happy and comfortable, we will get amazing photos!! Sometimes making you happy means we need to shoot candid and leave you alone – and sometimes making you happy requires us to step in and let you know that if you turn your body to the left you will look like a goddess. You’d want to know that, right? 😉

Awww shucks. We love you and we love our 2nd photographers too! If we didn’t, we wouldn’t invite them to help photograph your wedding. We have a group of experienced second shooters who have been working for us for many years. Their primary purpose is to capture additional candid images, not photographing the family portrait – your primary photographer will do that for you and be your main point of contact. That said – they are all so talented and amazing and we love spending the day with them at your wedding.

ighting assistants help with every aspect of the wedding day except taking photos. In an emergency, they are all talented with a camera so they CAN help if absolutely necessary. More often than not, they are holding the bouquet to give your arms a break, fluffing your dress, changing camera lenses for me so I can keep shooting, moving light stands, and finding your aunt when we need her for a family photograph. Second photographers are photographers. Of course they will do whatever we need to make the day go smoothly, but their primary job is to photograph the day.

This varies from wedding to wedding, so if you have a small wedding with a small guest list, you will have fewer photos – maybe 500 total. If you have a 200 person guest list and everything is all in one location, you might have 800 photos. If you add a second photographer, you might have over 1,000. The important thing to take from this is that we do not limit the number of photos. We do narrow the photos down from the wedding day and take out any photos where someone is blinking or a guest walks in front of the camera. Rest assured, we give you all of the best shots from your wedding day.

We host a website that you can share with your friends and families, so that they can see all of your finished photos. They can purchase digital files or prints directly through the online gallery. We fulfill all orders that are made in the online gallery. Also, you will be able to download all of your high resolution wedding photos from this website as well. The link never expires!
