Our names are Alex and Chelsea Ferkh and we are the two people behind True Fold. We met in college and long story short, we fell in love and got married! Now, we live right outside of Philadelphia, PA with our son Carter and our crazy cat Lily.

With both of us having degrees in photography we naturally joined forces and built up our business to what it is today. Over the past 10 years we have had the privilege to do all types of work in the photography industry but the one genre we absolutely fell in love with was documenting weddings, couples love stories, and all people in general. Even after 250+ weddings and countless engagement and portrait sessions we still love it and wouldn't do anything else. I can’t say enough great things about TrueFold! I had stumbled across them very early on in my vendor search and there was something about their work that I just knew I needed to have. Their work was exactly what we wanted - felt so natural and timeless, but not too trendy and heavily filtered. From the start, Alex was so responsive and worked with us on our budget. He was so accommodating and reassuring when we had to reschedule our engagement pictures 2-3x because of bad weather. He was amazing to work with day of too! We had a very lengthy list of family shots we wanted, but him and his second shooter (typically would have been his wife Chelsea, but last minute he needed to bring in a different photographer, who was also amazing!!) took it like champs!! Turnaround time for everything was quicker than we expected, so obviously can’t complain there! Seriously could not recommend them enough!! The best of the best to work with!

True Fold was a joy to work with. Alex and his wife are an amazing team! We booked photo and video, plus a photobooth for our wedding. We got our sneak peeks and all the photobooth photos within 3 days, and they were all beautiful. We loved their editing style, and they were very familiar with our venue, which was perfect. Alex and Chelsea are super easy going and friendly, and we felt comfortable working with them. I would book True Fold again in a heartbeat!

As a musuem venue, we admit that we are really picky about who works in our space. Not only do we need to keep the artwork safe, but we want to ensure that any photographer is able to manage the many different light level challenges and deliver art-quality results to our clients. True Fold does just that, and we happily refer them to all of our clients! They provide extremely high quality, with an easy going, sweet personality and dynamic.

Typically, couples book me about 12-24 months before their wedding date. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about our availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful.

We do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and we'll send that over to them.

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-12 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

In my 10+ years of experience as a wedding photographer, we've never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that we're unable to photograph your wedding, we'll make sure you’re covered by one of our colleagues or our contracted assistant. We'll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups we are in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Yes! We LOVE a good destination wedding. Over the past few years we have had the privilege to travel to document weddings all over.
