I’m Haylee, owner and planner of Water to Wine Events. I am a native Houstonian with a passion for weddings near and far. Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to plan and coordinate events across the country, work alongside amazing wedding professionals, and build relationships in an industry I love. After nearly a decade in the wedding industry, we know that flawless events require more effort than most Brides and Grooms have time to devote to planning. It is our mission to help couples discover the details that are most important to them, facilitate a calm and organized planning process, and produce beautifully curated events.

When I started in the events industry over a decade ago, my intention was to strictly focus on the design and creative aspects of a wedding. I only wanted to handle the pretty parts, or so I thought. Soon I fell head-over-heels in love with all the nuances of planning a wedding; from the logistics and production, to design and styling; My ability to manage both the creative + analytical aspects of an event is what my clients benefit from the most. Best Decision We Made For Our Wedding!

The best part of our wedding day was obviously getting married, but the second best was the opportunity to work with Haylee. As a Type A who loves event planning, I entered my engagement era thinking I would never need or want a wedding planner. We were introduced to Haylee at a bridal show, and I instantly loved her. She is organized yet calm and laidback, and she operates with such knowledge and confidence that I instantly trusted her. We had a very specific aesthetic for our wedding, and she executed it better than I could have ever dreamed of or done myself. Most of the time I felt like she had somehow gotten inside my head and could read my thoughts - she anticipated my questions and concerns before I could voice them and always had answers, solutions, and back up plans #1, 2, and 3 already prepared. Haylee has a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, and it shows - we did the Guided Planning Design package, so we spearheaded many conversations with vendors. That being said, she never hesitated to provide stellar vendor recommendations and to prep us with questions we would have never known to ask in the first place (e.g. asking our DJ if they provided wind shields with their lapel mics since we planned for our ceremony to be outdoors). Haylee made me feel so at ease for the entire 1.5 years we worked together, and I felt 100% comfortable letting go of the reins. If you are or know a Type A, you know that means A LOT. The best decision we ever made in our wedding planning journey was hiring Haylee. I would get married all over again just to work with her one more time! If you want a planner who truly listens to your wants and visions, advocates for her clients, answers every anxiety-ridden text quickly and with a smile, comes to your wedding with the most stacked emergency kit, keeps you at your budget, and gives you a wedding so perfect there is truly not a single thing you would've changed, you need her. And even if you don't think you do, I promise that you do.

The short answer? No, we do not... but keep reading! In reality "day of coordination" doesn't exist. Some newer or inexperienced planners may market their services as "day-of", but truly it takes more preparation to ensure your wedding day runs like a well-oiled and picture-perfect machine, than what can be accomplished on the day (or month) before. That is why we offer our clients Wedding Management!

This question has a two part answer: Just as you and your fiance's relationship is unique, so will your wedding be. The ideas, expectations, and priorities you have for your wedding will likely be different than another couple's. This is why we take the time to listen and really understand your desires before creating a custom-tailored quote. We'll be spending many hours together over the course of your engagement, so it's important that we both feel like it's a great connection! We would never want you to book with us just based on dollar signs and the words on a screen.

After your initial consultation, you'll be sent a quote and an invoice. We require a signed Booking Agreement and a retainer of 50% of your total balance to reserve your wedding date and begin planning.

We service the Houston and surrounding areas, as well as cities throughout Texas and beyond! Any travel or accommodation fees associated with your wedding will be included in your custom quote.

Maybe! With so many amazing wedding venues in the Houston and surrounding areas, there is just no way for any Planner to have worked at each one. If your venue is one we haven't been to before, we'll make sure to schedule a walk-through prior to your wedding day to familiarize ourselves with the space and get acquainted with the staff!

We take a limited number of weddings per year depending on the level of service of each event. There are busy and slow seasons, so some months we may have one or two weddings, and others we may have four or five. We do not take more than one wedding on a single day.

The best time to hire a Wedding Planner or Coordinator is anytime after you're engaged! Experienced Planners book far in advance- sometimes 18+ months out. So if you've found someone you connect with and who understands your vision, book them! Even if you're not quite ready to start planning, you should secure a Planner or Wedding Manager early.

Of course not! You are welcome to use just about any wedding professional you'd like, but we do ask that they are licensed and insured professionals.

No. We feel that "kickbacks" are not an ethical way to do business, and ask that if a vendor insists on providing us with some sort of compensation for the referral, that it be in the form of a discount for our client. We want you to trust that our Recommended Professionals are hand-picked for you, because we believe they are the best fit for your wedding.

Our role on your wedding day is to oversee your team of Wedding Professionals, troubleshoot any problems that may arise, and ensure your day runs smoothly. Because of this, we limit décor set up to your "accessories" such as: Guest book, card box, toasting flutes, cake knife, programs, table numbers, etc.. We do provide styling for weddings we have designed. You can add more extensive set up and break down to your package for an additional fee, but we encourage you to hire professional and full service vendors for all aspects of your wedding.
