Located at 40 Brattle Street, Alden & Harlow serves thoughtfully sourced, honest American food in a subterranean, modern and comfortable space. Inspired by the gathering of family and friends at his home kitchen table, Chef Michael Scelfo prepares bold and flavor-forward food that honors tradition of place in its quality. It is how he connects with anyone who joins him at his table—and we hope it is why you will join us at ours!

By incorporating intimate elements in the design and decor and weaving family recipes into his own, Chef Scelfo has created a space in which his vision is communicated through simple, elegant dishes inspired by what he would want to eat at home with his family. Looking to plan a private party? Alden & Harlow hosts corporate events, weddings and celebrations of all kinds. We have multiple event spaces available to host tasting menus for large groups, small private parties, partial dining room buyouts and full buyouts of the entire restaurant. For menu selection we offer cocktail style hors d’oeuvres, seated tastings or stationary buffets of your selection off our house menus while also catering to off-menu requests.
