Avant Garden is located in a 1896 historic house, centrally located in the Montrose/Midtown area. We specialize in beautiful low stress wedding ceremonies and receptions AvantGarden is a one stop all inclusive wedding venue, florist and coordinator. We offer dj services, full bar services, valet parking services and all the amenities to make your special day wonderful and fun!

Character meets elegance. A historic 125 year old mansion will be the perfect background for a unique romantic and fun wedding

.AvantGarden has 4 different areas: The upstairs is where people usually mingle and dance to a DJ. Downstairs is where the main bar and lounge area are located. A front patio with a fountain, and a lovely covered back patio where the ceremonies take place. Our 3 fully stocked bars offer a wide selection of wines, homemade sangria, micro-brewed local beers and premium liquors, as well as tea, coffee bar, juice and soft drinks. Catering and cake also included in our packages.

    AvantGarden (and Mariana, the owner) did a great job with our wedding, especially considering the extreme weather we experienced! We appreciated that the venue was mostly all-inclusive, especially when planning the event from out of town, and for a very reasonable price! The event space itself has a casual, fun vibe with plenty of room for our guests (175) to explore and excellent food and drinks. Many of our guests made a point to come up to us and tell us how much fun they had and how awesome the venue was, and we were shocked by how many people said the taco truck (venue recommendation) was the best wedding food they had ever had! The staff was great and made some excellent cocktails and I also have to shout out DJ Dillon for bringing such a fun vibe to our karaoke after party (another Mariana recommendation). You do need to put your faith in Mariana and be prepared to "let go", however. If you're looking to be very hands-on and are particular about all the little details, prepare to be frustrated because that's not the way Mariana works. She has her own process and knows what will and will not work based on experience, and she can be tricky to get in touch with until closer to the wedding date. Ultimately, though, she came through and did an excellent job for us. Trust in Mariana! Overall, it was super helpful that AvantGarden took care of most of the wedding planning (including delivering our flowers to our off-site ceremony venue), and the space made for such a fun atmosphere during the reception. I would definitely recommend AvantGarden as a wedding venue, especially for couples who are looking for a less stuffy and more unique atmosphere and who are looking to be more hands-off in the planning process.

    We recently celebrated our wedding at AvantGarden, and it was an enchanting experience. The venue's vintage charm and historic ambiance provided the perfect setting for our special day. AvantGarden seamlessly blends old-world nostalgia with modern amenities. The entire venue and patios offered beautiful settings for our ceremony and reception. The upstairs area was ideal for dancing, while the main bar and lounge downstairs created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With the ability to accommodate 150 guests, AvantGarden was perfect for our celebration. The on-site taco truck and wood-burning pizza oven were a huge hit with our guests. They also have a nice bar selection and great bartenders. The entire staff at AvantGarden were incredibly friendly and efficient, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Overall, AvantGarden exceeded our expectations in every way. The We highly recommend AvantGarden to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind wedding venue.

    AvantGarden was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. They were superb communicators, primarily through email, which made the entire planning process very easy. Their friendly and helpful staff and coordinator provided many services as part of their packages, and they put together a beautiful event for us. The venue itself is great, with different areas for the different parts of the wedding, which allowed it to reflect both of our personalities. Compared to other high-end venues, AvantGarden offered all the same services at a fraction of the price. We couldn't have been happier with our experience at AvantGarden Houston.

    Many of our guests were out of towners and we wanted them to enjoy their time in Houston, our native city. When we visited AvantGarden we realized this would be the best fit for us, as we live in Chicago now. Not only the venue, a historic building, is stunning, but all the amenities they offer cannot be beat! Mariana and her team planned and coordinated our entire wedding. They were able to interpret our vision after only one meeting! We happily recommend this venue for anyone who is looking for an authentic place and a low stress planning process!
