The Gardens

Exchange vows in an idyllic outdoor setting.

Set within a picturesque 687-acre pastoral landscape, this historic garden provides an enchanting setting for intimate ceremonies and photography sessions, with a variety of stunning locations to choose from. Once the home of renowned landscape architect Martha Brookes Hutcheson (1911–1959), the gardens beautifully reflect her design philosophy, blending formal vistas with the natural topography. Thoughtfully restored to their 1945 appearance, they showcase lush greenery, elegant garden “rooms” connected by carefully curated plantings, serene water features, and native materials that harmonize with the surroundings.

Sunrise Vista Lawn

Available May – October.

From May through October, the Sunrise Vista Lawn provides a stunning outdoor setting for romantic tented weddings, surrounded by breathtaking views of lush gardens and rolling landscapes. This picturesque location allows couples to exchange vows under the open sky and celebrate with family and friends in a serene and elegant atmosphere. Included with the rental is exclusive access to the Music Room within the historic Hutcheson House, offering a charming indoor space perfect for bridal preparations, an intimate cocktail hour, or a quiet retreat for the couple. With its timeless beauty and seamless blend of indoor and outdoor elegance, this venue creates an unforgettable backdrop for your special day.
