Perched high above the iconic Pacific Coast Highway, Big Sur Stone House offers a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind setting for weddings, anniversaries, and intimate gatherings. This fully sustainable solar-powered home was hand-built from native stone sourced directly from the land, honoring the spirit of Big Sur’s raw, natural beauty. Set on forty private acres adjoining the protected expanse of Los Padres National Forest, the property is accessed only by a gated private road—ensuring complete privacy and peace. From seven rooms in the house, guests can hear the soothing sound of ocean waves and take in sweeping, uninterrupted views of the Pacific that stretch to every horizon. Surrounded by wild gardens, forested trails, and the ever-changing sea, Big Sur Stone House is more than a venue—it’s a sacred space for those who appreciate solitude, sustainability, and the profound beauty of nature.

We can accommodate one hundred daytime guests for events here. If the plans include either a wedding rehearsal, a rehearsal dinner, a wedding, and or a reception, you are welcome to have any combination of these events that occur on one day at one cost.

      Anna at the Big Sur Stone House was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Her communication was always clear, concise and incredibly explanatory, providing us with all the specific details we needed to plan our special day. The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous, with the stunning natural scenery serving as the perfect backdrop. They were so helpful in assisting us with setting up the lighting and connecting us with their network of trusted vendors. Anna, our host, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, walking us through how to use all the amenities like the solar lights, outdoor heaters, catering equipment and more.
