    We had our wedding ceremony on the Green, cocktail hour at AfterBar, and our reception at the Eatery and the transition between the 3 spaces was seamless. All the food and drinks were fabulous, and the chic and modern spaces really set the tone for everyone to have a wonderful time. The location is also unbeatable, easy to get to via public transportation with a garage parking option on-site. The Eatery/AfterBar's event team were also responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process, were thoughtful and accommodating regarding guests' dietary restrictions, and were great with our other vendors (Rob Karlic Photography, Naturally Yours Events, Flowers for Dreams, Defloured Bakery, Umaga Bakehouse, and BreezyBooth). I cannot recommend this venue and their team highly enough, and we look forward to coming back often!

    I (Groom) am a caterer back in our home town and have been for over 20 years, which is only said to give a bit of context to the review I'm about to give. I've experienced and interacted with thousands of venues/caterers/planners/bartenders/servers/cooks, and I can say objectively that it is rare to experience something like our entire process with Canal Street Eatery. From our initial meeting, to a return trip to eat at the restaurant, to another return trip for our tasting, to the set up and decoration phase, to the evening itself, we just can't say enough about our incredible experience. The professionalism and hospitality of the event planning staff is above any we could ever have expected. Not only that, but the care and friendliness made us feel like long time friends. Elise and Thaina didn't have to be as accommodating and genuinely gracious as they were, but here we are. The staff working in their restaurant and for their catering were happy, fun, and genuine, which reflects the company they work for. We saw the same faces throughout the entirety of the planning process and felt like we actually made friends. A bartender took me aside at the end of the evening just to say how great it had been to chat throughout our visits, and wished us well in the future. Another bartender took, by far, our favorite picture of the evening, and we think every member of our friends and family had a story about them by the time our night ended. Spencer, you are a gem! Their food and beverage manager at Afterbar took us aside for a lovely chat and even bought us our last shot of the evening. We could go on and on. The FOOD....! Again, see above for the part about being a caterer, I have experienced significantly more than my share of food for large groups so I was hesitant at best when anticipating the final product for our big night. We were floored by how delicious and well executed all of our food was. We had pan roasted branzino for 140 guests and somehow the skin was still crispy and the flesh was juicy...this is no small feat for a large group, to say the least. I would take up too many lines going into detail about the rest of the food, so I'll just say that you'll be exhausted trying to find food as good as this for a large group. We came to Canal Street because the space is gorgeous and the price was beyond competitive with the others we had looked at, but we left overwhelmed with the experience in the best of ways. There aren't enough stars or words to give to encourage future couples to run to Canal Street Eatery for their big day.

    Canal Street Eatery is such a cool space. It’s beautiful, the food and drinks are amazing, and it was the perfect spot for our small wedding. Elise and Thaina were so incredible to work with. They were responsive, helpful, and found solutions to small issues that came up. We got so many compliments on the food and drinks at the wedding. Everything about Canal Street Eatery was amazing - it’s truly a hidden gem and they went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We can’t thank them enough!
