About this venue
Chateau on the River is a unique wedding venue located within the picturesque grounds of Elizabeth Park in Detroit, MI. Situated along the Detroit River across from Grosse Ile Island, its elegant interior and beautiful views make it an ideal setting for any wedding. This historic venue holds 190 guests and has both indoor and outdoor capabilities for ceremonies and receptions. It features marble bathrooms, a terrace overlooking the river, and cocktail space adjacent to the Main Hall. Chateau on the River offers all-inclusive packages which include catering and bar services, event rentals, setup and cleanup. We also provide audio equipment, chairs, tables, chair covers, and a dance floor, as well as all barware, china, and linens. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and parking is available for guests. As well as ceremonies and receptions, they can also host bridal showers, engagement parties, and non-wedding events.

Spectacular!
Chateau On The River is a fantastic wedding venue option. Communication with their team is prompt, friendly, and very easy throughout the planning process. The quality of their event space is amazing - it's a very large hall/room that can comfortably host a plethora of events and a large capacity of guests. The venue itself is beautiful and well-maintained, providing a wonderful backdrop for any wedding celebration. Staff is friendly and helpful. A full bar service is also offered as an option. I highly recommend Chateau On The River to any couples searching for the perfect wedding venue.
Great Venue
Chateau On The River was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the beginning, their communication style was specific and to the point, which we really appreciated as it helped keep us organized throughout the planning process. The quality of their work and value was awesome - the waterfront view of the river was breathtaking and made for an unforgettable backdrop to our ceremony and reception. They were very detailed and organized, ensuring our special day went off without a hitch. And the food was fantastic - our guests raved about the delicious meal. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our marriage.
Wedding
We had our wedding at the Chateau on the River in May and it was perfect! I expected everything to be good and it was just better than I imagined. Sam made sure we had everything we needed, answered all of my crazy questions and went above and beyond for us! Sam, Jerry and the staff at the Chateau exceeded our expectations! Hoping to host more events to come!!!

Everything was great! The food, the staff, everything! Samantha was amazing to work with and very attentive. I wish we could get married over and over again!
