About this venue

The Contemporary Art Center is a great choice for your next event from birthday parties to wedding receptions. The beautiful facility offers a meeting space of nearly 3,000 square feet, tables, chairs, a bar area with special lighting and two insulated ice bins, a full kitchen with a large refrigerator and freezer, a stage with lighting and sound system, restroom facilities, plenty of parking space and lots more. The wheelchair accessible facility is located on Peoria’s RiverFront on the 2nd floor of the building in an old warehouse with original exposed red brick and wood floors. Your guests can enjoy the art exhibit during your event as well. You may use any caterer you wish or cater the event yourself.

The Contemporary Art Center is a great choice for your wedding reception.

Thanks for considering the Contemporary Art Center for your event. About 35 times each year, we host wedding receptions, parties and various events in the Preston Jackson Gallery on the 2 nd floor of the facility. We would love to work with you to make our event special. The nearly 3,000 sq. ft. room is in a 150 year former coffee bean warehouse with original exposed red brick and wood floors.

The facility features include: a small stage with stage lighting and a sound system, a beautiful wood banquet table measuring 10 foot long, 4 foot wide in the center and 32” at each end, a bar area with plumbed sinks and ice bins tucked behind a curving glass wall, a full kitchen with a large 3-part sink, oven, microwave, freezer and commercial sized refrigerator. We are an art gallery so your guests can enjoy the art on display during your event. Our guests may also enjoy the great food and a full bar in the Rhythm Kitchen on the first floor. Furniture is included in the contract. For round table choices, we have eleven 5-foot, sixteen 2- foot, four 3-foot and two 4-foot. For rectangular table choices, we have four 5-foot, one 6-foot and twenty-two 8-foot rectangular tables for seating as well as for gifts, cake etc. We also have two small rectangular tables measuring 2’ x 4’ and 16” x 30”. We have 182 black, padded chairs and 12 blue conference table chairs.
