An Architectural Dream Wedding. With seating for up to 300 guests, this castle/museum and outdoor garden oasis will surpass your royal dreams! Outdoor ceremony area, gorgeous clear-top tent, indoor cocktail area, and more! Built between 1908 and 1912, Fonthill was the home of Henry Chapman Mercer. Archaeologist, anthropologist, ceramist, scholar and antiquarian, Mercer built Fonthill both as his home and as a showplace for his collection of tiles and prints. The first of three Mercer buildings in Doylestown, Fonthill served as a showplace for Mercer’s famed Moravian tiles. Designed by Mercer, the building is an eclectic mix of Medieval, Gothic, and Byzantine architectural styles. Your guests will be amazed when they enter the tree-lined grounds and visit this amazing castle.

A magical place, filled with beauty and wonder, enter Fonthill Estate through a long tree-lined drive. Situated on 30 wooded acres of natural beauty, Fonthill Castle, towers above the rolling hills, peaceful woodlands and meandering stream to create a true fairytale experience. Imagine descending the stone stairs to recite your vows by a charming little pond with the castle rising in the background. Enjoy cocktails on the lower level of the museum, bucolic grounds, visitor’s center, and the balcony of the Terrace Pavilion before descending the winding staircase as we invite your guests to dine and dance the night away. Party under the stars in our beautiful new clear paneled 40 x 100’ tent with views of the nearby, majestic Fonthill Castle.
