About this venue

Fremont Abbey is our main venue at 43rd & Fremont Avenue North in Seattle. The 1914 building was reopened in 2008 after undergoing major renovations including seismic, design, environment & visual improvements. As of 2023, we have installed a brand new HVAC system with air filtration and air-conditioning to our main upstairs hall. Now a beautiful & welcoming multi-use venue with a warm vintage style, the Abbey welcomes up to 250 people for events of many varieties including nonprofit galas, private weddings, receptions, parties, meetings, workshops, classes and more. We view weddings as an artistic, creative, community-celebrated gathering centered around the love and commitment of two people. As part of our nonprofit mission, we want to develop a partnership with you (as a member of the Abbey) to help create a beautiful and unique event for you and your loved ones. Fremont Abbey Great Hall (2nd Floor)

Main room featuring 22′ ceilings with beautiful box beams and large stained glass windows

This is the main room used for weddings. Get married in front of the beautiful stained glass windows or in front of the rustic barn doors, send guests downstairs to the Gallery for a cocktail hour, and flip the upstairs room for dinner and the reception.

A beautiful & welcoming multi-use room with a cool vintage style

The downstairs Gallery is a great space for a cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception while the upstairs Great Hall is being flipped, or can be used on its own for smaller weddings

    Fremont Abbey was such a beautiful place to hold our wedding, it was even prettier than we expected. The ambience is beautiful, there are plentiful spaces for getting ready and storing items, and the people are so friendly and accommodating. Of course, they're incredibly busy so sometimes it takes awhile to hear back, but they were wonderful to work with.
