About this venue

Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Savannah, the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace Museum offers an enchanting wedding experience in the garden of a beautifully preserved historic home. This is the same place that Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts, hosted her own wedding reception in 1886. We are honored to open our doors to modern couples, offering them the opportunity to begin their own love stories in this historic and romantic setting.

Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace Museum

A Timeless Setting for your Unforgettable Day

On Tuesday, December 21st, 1886, Juliette Gordon Low — the beloved founder of the Girl Scouts — celebrated her wedding reception within these very walls. She and her new husband were said to have "stood under a marriage bell of flowers, and everyone graduated [sic] them" in joyful celebration. Afterward, the newlyweds exited through the front doors and departed by carriage for the serene shores of St. Catherine’s Island. Today, we are honored to open our doors to modern couples, offering them the opportunity to begin their own love stories in this historic and romantic setting.
