We are excited that you are interested in holding your special event here at our Gardens. Our mission is to be A Living Laboratory - Where Plants and People Grow Together. We have three different available spaces for you to hold your wedding, including our North Garden, South Garden, and Arboretum. Each of the areas is unique and offers different accommodations to suit your needs. The garden wedding of your dreams!

The NORTH GARDEN encompasses several stunning locations for ceremonies and receptions. The main areas include our INDOOR CONSERVATORY, LOWER LAWN, and CONSERVATORY PLAZA, perfect for a cocktail hour or dance floor. For weddings with 50 guests or less, be inspired by the North Garden to find a smaller, personalized space for your ceremony. Available for ceremonies and receptions up to 250 guests. Outdoor and indoor spaces. Rain back-up available.

A enchanting garden wedding to remember!

The SOUTH GARDEN provides a truly enchanting setting for your wedding celebration. Included in the South Garden is the ever-popular ANNIVERSARY PLAZA, as well as our ENTRANCE PAVILION, PERENNIAL GARDEN, and ROSE GARDEN. Available for ceremonies and receptions up to 200 guests. All outdoor spaces. Rain back-up available.

    We absolutely loved having our wedding at the MSU Horticulture Gardens! We had our ceremony in the North Gardens outside, the cocktail hour in a covered tent right outside of the greenhouse, and the dinner and reception inside of the greenhouse. We had 118 guests and were able to do dinner and dancing inside of the greenhouse comfortably. Everything was set up promptly and was ready to go the day before. Working with the team was very collaborative and they provided lots of options while we were deciding what we wanted our layout to be. Amy was great to work with. They had lots of rental options such as chairs, tables, linens, bar, and backdrop curtain to elevate the space. There was a large walk-in cooler that we were given access to where we were able to keep our desserts and then store flowers/leftovers in over night after the wedding. During our tour we were a bit worried that the greenhouse would be very hot and that the fans would be loud, but they're able to cover the roof and we were able to rent standing fans that kept the venue cool without excessive noise and it totally fine. Everything came together beautifully on the day of and we are so happy with the day overall! We received so many compliments from guests and we would definitely recommend the North Gardens as a wedding venue.

    I cannot say enough good things! We had a wonderful experience and Amy and the rest of her staff were very attentive and helpful. The venue is absolutely breath taking and there is so much room to be creative and make the venue exactly your dream. Our guests were swooning all night and still reaching out to tell us how beautiful the day was!
