The Museum of History Benicia was an incredible venue for our wedding. From the very first inquiry, the staff was timely, friendly, and accommodating in their communication. The venue itself was open, spacious, and had a wonderful historical ambiance that set the perfect tone for our special day. The friendly atmosphere and clean, well-maintained space allowed us and our guests to fully immerse ourselves in the celebration. We couldn't have asked for a more ideal location to exchange our vows. We highly recommend the Museum of History Benicia to any couple looking for a memorable and stress-free wedding experience.

There is no exact answer to that since your event is completely customizable. Please reference the list of options found inside the section titled “Rental Rates”. Regardless of your rental, there is a $500 refundable damage deposit*** due at the time you book your event and there is a $550 janitorial cleaning fee. ***refundable damage deposit: may be refunded only after your event providing there was no damage to the hall, garden, or gallery spaces.

No, we do not. Feel free to choose the caterer, event production company, rental company, or lighting company of your choice.

Yes. If you are selling alcohol you will need to provide insurance coverage and a liquor license.

Yes, all our event rentals are required to provide event insurance. The certificate needs to be turned into the museum prior to your event setup.

Yes, absolutely. We welcome live music or a DJ at our museum. We are not subject to noise ordinance restrictions in the arsenal.

We have a prep kitchen only. We do not have cooking facilities.

There are outlets around the perimeter of the garden space. We do not have permanent garden lighting which allows you to customize your rental experience and make it as exclusive as you like.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances.
