About this venue

Oak Hill Farm is an elegant outdoor wedding venue nestled on a secluded estate near Galena, Illinois, a popular tourist destination in the Midwest. Our venue features four outdoor ceremony locations, a historic chapel and an all-white, open air pavilion (heat and window walls available as needed) that seats up to 250. We offer unique amenities, many vintage details and endless photo opportunities on our 170 acre private property.

The Chapel at Oak Hill

The Chapel at Oak Hill is an exquisite 1860’s treasure, completely restored to its original condition but with modern amenities such as heat, A/C and a sound system as well as a keyboard. For added charm, allow us to transport you to your ceremony via our 1931 Ford Model A or horse-drawn carriage.

The Barn Lawn

Elegant outdoor wedding

For those couples who prefer an outdoor setting for their wedding, the Barn Lawn at Oak Hill offers an exceptional backdrop for your guests as they enjoy a view of our one-acre pond and forested hills. The Barn Lawn seats up to 250 guests.

• Complete setup and teardown of your decor at no additional fee • Customizable floor plan based on your guest count, dinner service and desired tables and chairs • Staff will maintain the venue’s cleanliness, provide assistance to you and your guests as needed and monitor the timeline to ensure a successful event. • Oak Hill provides licensed bartending services, ice and supplies (Oak Hill is a BYOB facility so you bring the beverages of your choice!) • Golf carts for guest transport around the venue • Vendors have full access to our catering prep area and service building • Patio heaters and furnaces as needed

Pavilion

Nestled on a secluded estate near Galena, Illinois, our elegant wedding venue is full of vintage details and endless photo opportunities.

The Pavilionboasts 4800 square feet with windows to the east and west and a 25’ ceiling. The string lights, greenery and chandeliers complete the all-white, elegant barn-like setting that can seat groups up to 250. The window walls can be rolled up for 360 degree views, or closed to provide protection from wind and rain. We offer several different table and seating options with over 100 design elements to style your wedding, plus our team will fully set up and tear down all your decor!

The Barnhouse Prep Suite

Discover the unforgettable charm of the Barn at Oak Hill.

The original 1891 hay barn at Oak Hill has been restored with elegantly appointed bedrooms and bathrooms that serve as separate dressing quarters for the couple and wedding party. The main living area is a perfect gathering place for your family and wedding party to relax before the ceremony and is also used extensively for photographs. Intimate gatherings of up to 25 guests can be hosted in the Barn as well. The lawn of the Barn is popular for outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hour.

A relaxed space for getting ready with your favorite people.

A relaxed, well-appointed space for the wedding party to get ready—featuring a full bar, TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a fully stocked fridge. Outside, enjoy a covered patio, horseshoe pit, and bags game for a fun, laid-back start to the big day. Ideal for unwinding, prepping, and sharing a toast before the ceremony.
