About this venue
The Palmer Inn Estate features a stunning six bedroom main house, and two bedroom guest house on eight acres. We are located about a half hour from both the Outer Banks and the Virginia line. The estate is the perfect setting to host your rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, reception, and day-after brunch all in one stunning location. The breathtaking waterfront views create a magical backdrop for your ceremony, and the cozy guest house provides an ideal space for you and your wedding party to get ready on-site. And, we are thrilled to welcome your dogs to stay on the estate and join in on your big day. At The Palmer Inn Estate, we believe your wedding should be unique, special, and stress-free. Complimentary overnight accommodations are included for up to 18 guests.

Post-Wedding Review
I booked the Palmer Inn for my wedding reception. I absolutely loved it. The estate is beautiful and the house was a 10/10. My husband and I stayed with some friends and we had no complaints. I’d definitely recommend the Palmer Inn to anyone looking to do a long-term stay or event. The owners are lovely to work with and the estate itself was great.
Small Vow Renewal
This venue was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful views, lots of entertaining space, room for our closest friends and family and a gorgeous backdrop for our photos. The management was helpful and offered up amazing suggestions for food, photos and decor. We loved the interior of both homes but the main house was stunning enough to have photos taken inside too! We were pleasantly surprised by the clear views of the sound and the sweeping farm land! We only had our closest friends and family but I could see how this home could accommodate larger groups. We are planning a trip in the fall for a long weekend (Airbnb) because we enjoyed our time there so much.
Perfect venue for 11th Hour Weddings and Events!
The Palmer Inn Estate is a beautiful waterfront venue, and perfect for weddings of all sizes. The back acreage can be tented for large events and the private garden area is perfect for quaint micro weddings. Located conveniently between the Virginia State line and the North Carolina Outer Banks, it appeals to our local Tidewater couples as well as our destination groups. The estate offers 6 bedrooms in the historic Inn, and 2 bedrooms in the "honeymoon" cottage. The Inn has 2 large gathering rooms, a magazine worthy kitchen, and a dining room with charming furniture. The bedrooms are furnished and finished with stunning decor, and the remodeled bathrooms are modern. The cottage has it's own kitchen and living area, and even has a wall of mirrors and salon chairs for the bridal party to get ready. This venue is one of the top picks for 11th Hour Weddings and Events!
