About this venue

The Lower Shore’s ideal setting for your special event is the versatile and accommodating Community Center at the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Company. The Community Center features over 11,000 square feet of space in four distinct areas designed with flexibility in mind. All areas are fully ADA compliant. The Center’s Director will assist you every step of the way from event planning through successful completion. In addition, the Auxiliary is also available as a catering option, or you may wish to hire an approved outside caterer.

Grand Ballroom

The showplace of the Community Center is the chandelier graced elegant and stylish 7500 square foot Grand Ballroom that can accommodate a gathering of up to 400 or can be subdivided into two spaces containing 3750 square feet each. The area features a state of the art sound system, Wi-Fi and multi-media capabilities.

The Maryland Room

In addition to the versatile ballrooms, the Pocomoke Community Center is proud to offer other options designed to suit your needs. The Maryland Room offers seating for up to 40 guests. It features a separate outside entrance and is equipped with men's and ladies' restrooms, tables and chairs, and individual climate control. The Maryland Room is ideal for smaller meetings and family gatherings.

The Gathering Place

If you are looking for an area that is more elegant and intimate, the Gathering Space is for you. Furnished with luxurious leather sitting areas and imported oriental rugs, the centerpiece of this space is a stunning floor-to-ceiling fireplace. The walls are lined with historical photos of Pocomoke City dating back to the early 1900s. This is the perfect spot for a comfortable gathering with friends, family, and guests.
