About this venue
The Candlewood Inn is a stunning waterfront venue located in Brookfield, CT. Imagine your ceremony overlooking panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills, a sunset cocktail reception on the lakefront lawn, and a gorgeous ballroom with arched windows allowing natural light and stunning views of the shimmering lake. Crystal chandeliers adorn the ballroom and cast a warm glow over the festivities. Our event team has more than 20 years of experience on property and will design a beautiful celebration for you and your partner. Led by our Executive Chef and in-house culinary team, the reception package offers a five-hour event with a premium open bar, butler passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktail hour stations, plated dinner or dinner stations, tiered cake and coffee. Our team is eager to help you create the perfect event, and will pull out all the stops to ensure a flawless and fabulous night.

Vows can be exchanged on the lawns, where tranquil water, breathtaking views and lake breezes will create an enchanting experience. Following your ceremony, guests have an easy transition into your cocktail reception as they are greeted with passed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the terrace and lawn. Watch the sunset over the rolling hills and relax with live music or have fun with lawn games until the festivities inside begin!

The ballroom features eight-foot arched picture windows which bathe the floor in natural light and provide stunning views of the lake. Crystal chandeliers also adorn the room and cast a warm glow over the festivities. As candlelight bounces off the stunning glassware and tablescape, your guests will enjoy a fabulous meal created by our in-house culinary team. And don't forget a cocktail from our original 1940's stunning mahogany bar.

Flawless Day
I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Candlewood Inn! From start to finish, everything about having our wedding here was absolutely perfect. The entire day went so smoothly—it was truly stress-free, which is every bride's dream. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire process and especially on the big day. Our guests are still raving about the top-notch service and the delicious food—every detail was handled with such care and professionalism. The venue itself is stunning, and the atmosphere made the night feel magical. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. Amazing experience with the CWI!
If you’re thinking about booking your wedding at The Candlewood Inn—do it! The CWI team made the planning process seamless and organized from start to finish. Our coordinator, Krista, was incredible. She provided all the information we needed and patiently answered my hundreds of questions throughout the planning journey. She was so accommodating to our needs and truly helped bring our vision to life. From the moment I arrived on our wedding day and saw Krista and Brooke waiting for me on the steps, to the moment I left at the end of the night with my car already packed by the team—I felt so supported. Krista and her team took care of everything behind the scenes without me even having to ask, and I can’t express how much that meant to me. I kept telling the bridal assistants, Brooke and Delilah, how calm and at ease I felt whenever it was just the three of us moving between spaces for First Look, the ceremony, etc. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without them. They kept me grounded through the family chaos and felt like two angels looking after me all day, making sure I was safe, hydrated, and well-fed. The food was another highlight—absolutely delicious and abundant. I especially appreciated that the team had trays of food from cocktail hour waiting for us in the bridal suite so we could have a private moment to enjoy all the food before mingling with our guests. Our drinks were also replenished the entire night. The staff doesn’t just take care of the guests—they go out of their way to take extra care of the couple, which felt incredibly special. We received so many compliments from our guests during and after the wedding about how impressed they were with both the food and the exceptional service. Overall, we’re beyond happy with how our wedding day turned out and so grateful to The Candlewood Inn for making it such a beautiful, stress-free experience.
Highly Recommend!
I can’t recommend The Candlewood Inn enough! We live 2 hours away but had no second thoughts about booking this venue. Not only is the location absolutely gorgeous, but the staff is incredible to work with. Christian and team were so helpful, responsive, accommodating, and kind. There is only 1 event per day, so you get the full focus of the Candlewood team. We also booked the on location bridal suite for the girls to get ready in the morning of the wedding. The space was perfect, and they provided us with so much food. And speaking of the food, it was incredible! Our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food, service, and overall beauty at Candlewood. We had several of them tell us that the 2 hour drive to our wedding was 100% worth it, which is the highest praise I could give!
